Severly lacking

For the most part the application is fine but the actual development cycle is extremely slow new features are implemented in a very slow fashion and the bugs took a long time to fix a few months ago that popped up which were critical in terms of not even being able to use the messaging feature the idea is great in the spirit of the application and system but the actual implementation is severely lacking there are no off-line Maps and the bugs are pretty bad not to mention the default node is now at three which used to be six

Great App + hardware for off grid messaging

I use this mostly to play around. But this could be super useful during an emergency.

Annoying

The developer seems to think changing the design is “improving” the app. Well it isn’t.
Leave the design alone, already.
All you do is annoy end users.
I have absolutely no shame or embarrassment in writing this review.

5 stars once it gets wifi

A most basic feature of adding wifi connectivity should be at the forefront of any future development. BT isn’t feasible for something 2-3 floors up.

Response from developer

You are welcome to donate if you want WiFi, thinking leaving a bad review will get it done is pretty entitled.

Great interface to Meshtastic

Meshtastic is continuously developing, and the Meshtastic app leads the way with frequent updates to support firmware changes and new features. Thanks for the effort to make this possible!

Wi-Fi connection to Nodes

Brilliant app that gets better and better. Is it possible to add WiFi connectivity to a node rather than just Bluetooth?

App ideas

A big thank you to the community!
Love the app!
Using on IOS, two thoughts:
1) Would it be possible to have messages sort by date & time received (chronologically)?
2) Might be useful to add ability to change notifications sound other then default.

UI/UX issue : "Disconnect from MQTT"

In the MQTT Config menu, there is a sub-option that says "Disconnect from MQTT" and a toggle. If you use the toggle, the description changes to "Connect to MQTT"

This is bad UI/UX - The description should be "Enable MQTT" then on/off.

Documentation is sparse

Overall this is generally easy to use, but the documentation is very sparse and the terms used on the UI are often confusing, counterintuitive, or completely undocumented. Icons that are used in the UI (for example the ones used to describe a discovered node) are not defined and often seem randomly assigned.

This is an open source project, so the above can be expected for freeware — but if you use this as your primary interface for nodes, you’ll likely be frustrated as you try to make sense of details. And, I get it … developers really hate to create solid user documentation…

Meshtastic iOS app

App is generally good but I can’t seem to connect all of my nodes to it.
It’s almost like I need separate apps for each node and that’s frustrating.
