  • The Best Recipe App Ever

After trying a few recipe apps with that I was unsatisfied, I found Cookmate. The app is easy to use, allows editing, and simply imports recipes I find on the web. I love everything about it!
  • Cookmate

This app has helped me organize and develop recipes easier than ever !!
  • This app helped me start my cooking journey!

I truly love this app! Beautiful UI and easy to use!
  • My only issue

I have enjoyed this app even when it was my cookbook. I do have one issue I have tried more than once to pay for it annually but have not been able to do so.
  • The best recipe saver

I love this app. It’s so easy to add recipes from the internet or add in your own. If you need/want to change a recipe it’s easy to edit too. You can use for free but can’t save too many recipes but you can pay a VERY reasonably priced subscription
  • Do not use

It’s a great app except…… after a certain period of time you have to upgrade or you can’t access you recipes. It gets very old apps saying they are free when clearly they aren’t
  • Very handy

Really like that I can both down recipes from various internet sites as well type in my old fashioned hand written recipes ( many are hand me downs from Mom and Grandma). All in all ciuldn't be happier.
  • A great app with some fine tuning needs

I love this app for keeping my tried-and-true and day-to-day recipes. No more losing recipe cards or keeping dozens of recipe tabs open. The visuals make it easy to find the right recipe, the categories and tags are great for searching and keeping organized, I can make my own edits and and upload my own photos, and it’s easy to share with friends and peruse their favourites too.

I LOVE how it automatically finds the right info from webpages and imports the recipe - bye bye endless scrolling and adds messing the layout! This is arguably one of the best and most useful functions because it improves ease of use, meaning I will actually use it instead of waiting for time and mental energy to manually import from a website, which will almost never happen. It’s also different from Pinterest because the imported info will never 404. I only import recipes I actually want to keep for easy reference, rather than looking through a million recipes I think I want to try.

However, there are some UI/UX quirks that could be improved to the navigation, making it easier to add categories and tags, removing extra unnecessary button clicks and working out some of the user flow. However, these don’t directly impact the usefulness of the app and can be worked around once you’ve learned what doesn’t work well.

  • Simplifies Internet Recipes!

I love pulling recipes off the internet, but hate how so many have embedded ads and distractions throughout the recipe (I understand that’s how people pay for their blogs - just doesn’t make it easy to scroll through the recipe). I’ve ruined recipes before because I missed an important paragraph that was sandwiched in between two ads…so frustrating, especially when you’re using pricier ingredients! This app lets you put a copied link into the internet search, then import it. When you import it, the app has sorted through all the extra crap for you, and you are left with a recipe summary, ingredients, and directions. Easy peasy!! You can then add your own notes to the recipe, put it into a group, and, if the recipe has a video link (like that great one you just found on YouTube), you can copy the url and paste that into the video link spot in the recipe (you have to use the edit mode to add notes and URL’s). A guy friend of mine who likes to cook shared this app with me, and I’ve been sharing it with all my cooking friends…so much more user-friendly than Pinterest or any other app I’ve tried!! It’s actually motivated me to find some healthier recipes and try them, since I’ll be able to easily find them again and add my own notes, once I know how I want to tweak them, so I don’t forget the next time I make them!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this app!!

  • After a decade still love this app

I figure after using this app more then a decade I should review it. I can say nothing bad about it. I love that I can use it on more then one device because I am constantly sharing recipes and do not always have my tablet available. The import recipe is excellent and I have never had any problem except it the site itself does not allow me. Importing images is great too for the recipes I create but have no image. The scaling I love because we are only two in a household usually but love that I can change it anytime. I am a subscriber only to support the developers but there are days when I go wild and download many recipes at one time. I love how it has an infinite amount of recipes you can add to it and it is so easy to find that special recipe even though I have saved about 2000 so far throughout the years. app support is also wonderful for the rare occasion I had to use them. I believe that was when they had a fire. All I can say is keep doing what you are doing 24.00/ year is completely worth it if you can afford it.
