Next Generation Modular Audio
Audulus is a wonderful thing to experience. There's just something about it, like it has combined all my favorite stuff into one audio tool. Yes, it's modular audio patching. Yes, it has beautiful graphics, the interface is fast, intuitive. Yes, it's a standalone app on macOS and ipadOS, and an AUv3 plugin. Yes, I can code my own DSP and module graphics. But all these pro level features still don't do justice to the Audulus experience -- I just love this app!
If there's a fault, I'd say it is the feeling that anything is possible in Audulus, but then its high quality sound engine can use up all your CPU. This just means that Audulus can't quite do everything in one patch (heavy filters and reverbs, for example). It also means that my designs have to rise to the occasion. Not such a fault after all....

Add a Synch to host as AUv3
Add a Synch to host as AUv3
Keeps freezing
On iPad Pro. Latest OS 16.5.1(c). As soon as I add a node or module, it freezes. Can’t even zoom in or out. The cpu usage is at something low, like 9%, so that’s not the problem. I wish I could get my 40$ back as it is completely unusable.

Excellence
If you’re into modular synths and especially DSP audio programming like in Max MSP, Reaktor or Pure Data, Audulus is an absolute 100% must have. Completely unrivalled on iOS. Bonus, it also does GSGL style Shaders and procedural LUA script graphics.
Latest bug fix release
Downloaded the Jun 16 update to Audulus, this morning. After months of trouble-free booting and use, the app now no longer works on my 2018 iPad Pro running under the latest iPad OS. The app opens to a black screen. This is key app, for me, and I should like it returned to use, ASAP. If this is not possible, at least offer the previously functioning iteration. I do love this app, and hope this is a temporary blip. Thank you for your attention.

Hi Vince, this was due to a bug when updating the app. You can get around it by reinstalling Audulus. Be sure to back up your work first! Please email me (support@audulus.com) if you need any help! Sorry about that!

Why no price on download?
Who cares if the download doesn’t cost anything if you can’t use the app without in-app purchases?

Hi androidOneEleven, it can be demoed without editing patches. There are currently 27 patches that come with the app that you can try out. Just tap on the + to create a new document and you can use them as templates. Also, you can download more patches from the Audulus forum.

They have video tutorials, a Discord, and a website. The app is complex but there’s enough first class support to get started. They will help you with projects you want to do.
Why no CC in module?
Audulus was great in responding when I couldn’t figure out how to get midi out. Now I am trying to make synths for my windsynth controller and discovered that there is a CC out module (node) but no CC in. I need to assign CC #2 breath to filters and envelopes. The synth modules sound great and with CC in they would be extremely good.
