  • Not letting you get started

Clicked the link in the description for a youtuber I support, downloaded the app, tried to sign up with email, clicked on the verification link in my email, redirected me to a site in safari, had me re-enter my email, clicked on the link again in my email… Did that about 7 times before I realized it was never going to let you in. Deleting the app; hopefully they do something about it but it looks like according to previous reviews they will not

  • One of my daily use apps

Can’t wait to see what direction this app goes. There’s a lot of really exciting things in the works that I’m excited to use. Right now I use it to create outfits out of my closet items, I’m hoping to start seeing stats and seeing other people’s outfits. The collections tab is really cool and innovative.

Update: thank you team for all the work you’re doing! I really really appreciate this app, I know there’s still a ton of room to grow but where you are is still amazing!

  • Love this app!

Love the idea and concept of Indyx. I’ve worked at for a Retail company for several years and have a lot of clothes. It got the point where I was consistently overwhelmed with how much I had in my closet. Indyx has lessened the decision paralysis I experience every morning getting dressed, and I look forward to planning my outfits for the week (plus backups). I can’t stop telling everyone about this app!

There are no downsides to using this app, but there is some feedback which is why I removed one star.
    1) Focus on the User — app layout emphasizes Indyx services and explore other closets. I wish the app put a greater focus on managing your closet and removing buttons for unavailable services (Wardrobe stats, marketplace, etc.)
    2) Better experience uploading clothes — the selling point of the app is the background removal; it’s very accurate. Some drawbacks to the tool is I find it makes my photos slightly blurry and it’s a pain to upload one piece at a time.
    3) Less clicks when editing clothing details — uploading clothes is not seamless. It takes you through 3 pages to input brand, size & color. I wish it was all in one page (brand, size, color, season, category, purchase date, cost, etc). That way, you can input all the details at once instead of going back into the item and navigating the different sub-areas.
    4) More clothing categories — include activewear or the ability to create your own categories!
    5) refine search bar — it’s clunky and you can’t search by sub categories. For example, if I want to look at all my button ups, I have to look at ALL my tops or type button up in the search bar. If you have +200 articles of clothing, it would be beneficial to have the ability to refine your searches.

  • not even letting me log in

just downloaded, signed up with email, followed the link in my inbox and it's not working to redirect to the app and login. i've tried with safari and firefox.
  • Very Useful

I’ve tried using other digital wardrobe apps, with little success. It seemed like they were just to clunky when it came to adding the clothing to the app. This way of cataloging was very easy, first off it can remove any background seamlessly, and quickly. You then add the brand, type of clothing, color, and you can also add seasons of wear, cost, notes and more. They have a separate app where you can go in and discuss different topics and ask questions if you want. I’m a month into using the app and I’ve never gotten so much use out of so many pieces. It helps me plan ahead for the week, and I no longer panic when I’ve got to attend something where I need to dress up a bit because i was able to pinpoint what I needed to fill that gap and buy with a plan in mind. I know in the long run this app is going to save me money.

  • Not an App

I would this so frustrating as it does not “open” like a normal app, but is accessed via a web link to a browser. Then when in the browser I am unable to add/change a thing. Waste of time, but had high hopes. Perhaps I have a glitch?.🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
  • Cure compulsive online shopping with this app!

I can spend hours creating outfits from my existing clothes. I’m so inspired to flex my creative muscles to style my clothes in new ways.

With a bit of time investment upfront to catalogue your wardrobe, this app helps you see what clothes you have and what you actually wear. I’ve used it to pinpoint gaps in my closet but mostly to deter myself from buying something when I already own an item that is similar, or with the knowledge that I probably won’t get the cost per a wear to make it worth it.

    10/10 recommend.

  • Honestly one of the best things I have done

Such a great app and concept. It has completely changed my analogy of plan and no longer have those “what am I going to wear” meltdowns
  • Alienates Queer Users

Despite the account creation’s seemingly progressive inclusion of more than two gender options, the app itself does not do much more than just that. If you choose “non-binary” in the account creation, you are allowed to take the style quiz featuring incredibly feminine styles with the least amount of gender non-conformity possible. However, if you choose that you’re a “man” at the start, you are given a warning that the quiz is mainly designed for women, which is absent for non-binary users.
Upon seeing this, I immediately deleted the app because it is just one more apps that equates all non-binary individuals to women but still pretends to care about them to seem progressive. Even if one were to ignore the transphobic undertones, the lack of any kind of non-convential styling (not even just in regards to gender, but in the broader styles as well) in a quiz meant to help you find your style is truly baffling. The least the developers can do is give the same curtesy warning to non-binary users as male users before they attempt the quiz. If you do not plan to be inclusive, do not trick users into signing up before revealing that you never had any plans to be to begin with.

    Developer Response

Thanks for your feedback. We're a super small team doing our best to be inclusive of all users, but you're right that we missed the mark here. We always want to be thoughtful in developing our quizzes, and we don't currently have the resources to develop a non-binary or mens style quiz. We hope this changes soon. In the meantime, we are going to add that same warning on the quiz for people who identify at onboarding as non-binary as we do for those who identify as men. This makes sure everyone still has access to the existing women's quiz if they want to take it, while also understanding that it wasn't specifically designed for them. We hope this better aligns with our approach to product categories, where we intentionally made all categories available to all genders regardless of whether some are traditionally considered for certain genders. We always want to give you all the options we can, while still seeing you for you as an individual!
  • Great for my closet!

I started using this app out of curiosity and it helped me pick out clothes from my own closet that are color coordinated.
