Simple yet phenomenally useful

Lyrics app is fantastic. it's simple and clear works incredibly well. The syllable counter is an absolute timesaver. The dev is responsive to feedback and is invested in making the app the best it can be.
Lyrics is now my go to app for writing songs. Give it a go-you won't regret it.
Cheers

Hey TBOTO, thank you so much for your warm review! Your feedback has been helpful in shaping Lyrcs to what it is today so I appreciate it more than you can image! All the best in your Lyric writing journey.

It's Okay...

I have started using this app, and it is helpful because it keeps count of how many syllables you use. But, I think that this app needs different sections for different things. For example, there can be a section for the chorous, and a section for the pre-chorous. This is very helpful for me because I am very new to song-writing and I like it whenever the app kind of helps you by using sections. Whenever I opened up this app I realized that it did not have different sections and I felt like the app was just throwing me out there and not helping me at all.

Hey Writing Dragon, thanks so much for your review. So glad you’re loving the features like syllable counting! Being able to identify sections is also a great suggestion. Could you try writing the title of the section above your lines of lyrics? Given it’s a free app created to help out the song writing community, a 2 star review unfortunately doesn’t help foster that community. Could I ask that you reconsider the rating?

BEWARE: PERFECT RHYMES ONLY

This app is okay, I guess. But it only allows you to do perfect ryhmes. I tried using it, and at first it worked. But I'm a rapper, and sometimes you need other rhymes than perfect rhymes, and it doesn't help me. In fact, I feel that it makes me limit myself to the perfect rhymes it gives me, and not to the abounding world of rhymes. So I only go to this app as a last resort if I'm really stuck.

Hey Zach H and ALIENATION, Thank you for your review! Apologies for the delayed reply but I listened to your feedback and I have some amazing news, Lyrcs now contains a feature called ✨ Near Rhymes ✨. It allows you to link two words together that aren't perfect rhymes. These two words will then appear as the same color in the editor. Select the PRO button in the app to find out more. Reach out at https://lyrcs.app/#contact if you had any questions. P.S. If you think that your star rating could be revisited after trying out this feature I would appreciate it greatly πŸ™

Needs Work.

Syllable count is a great feature.
The rhyme feature is greatly lacking. It only considers full rhymes - it wouldn't even accept "spells" with "dwell". The inability to use imperfect rhymes (such as welcome and volume) impacts the app a lot. I'll be deleting the app once I find something more suitable for me.

Apparently only perfect rhymes supported

Won't let me rhyme "home" with "alone"

Pat Pattiston would be not be pleased. He really likes those "soft" rhymes....

But some people are really big on perfect rhymes only.

YMMV

But one star from me, cause I can't use it.

Nice Interface

I needed an app that helped me keep track of the syllables and rhymes and this was perfect! Thanks!

Working perfectly, has improved a lot!

It was buggy in the beginning with apostrophes not being allowed and a few crashes but now its running great. Thank you for this.

Hi samfriid, Thanks a lot for your review, glad everything is working well. Feel free to contact us if you have any feedback. All the best, Lyrcs.

Looks promising, but can't handle non-alphabetic characters

I tried writing some lyrics in this app, but it kept removing my apostrophe characters and showing the toast message "Non-English characters were removed". This is not helpful. Apostrophes are quite common in English, and there's also a lot of music & lyric that's not in English. I don't want my lyric app removing some of the things I write based on the language character set.

Hi Gttgg. So sorry you experienced this. Your feedback was taken seriously and the issue is now fixed. All non-English characters are back to being supported. If the latest update addresses your feedback, feel free to revisit your rating. All the best, Lyrcs.
