  • Not ready yet

It was fun to try. Still not ready yet to use
  • Not worth your time.

The app performed so poorly that I had to write a review. No pictures came out well or as advertised and I’m very disappointed. I don’t know if the one person who wrote a five star review got extremely lucky or if it’s a fake review. Additionally, the ads on this app are extremely annoying. I understand having an ad on the bottom of the screen, but being forced to watch ads (usually the same one) every time you click on the button to process the photo really takes away from the “super fast” processing time.
Overall, I rate this app a 1 out of 5 stars.
  • It’s decent

The app isn’t as bad as most of the reviews say. Most pictures will work in one of the three styles. A few things to keep in mind: It crops like Twitter or Instagram, and If you use a blurry or poor quality photo you’re going to get poor results. It does have ads yet as phone apps go it’s not as annoying as some apps I have used. They are short and easy to close.
  • I gave it a good try

I saw a couple people post about this app so I thought i’d try it, even after seeing the terrible reviews (it deserves) I tried multiple photos from different angles hoping maybe that’d help but I still got the same deformed outcome. There’s also ads in between EVERY photo, but that isn’t as bad there’s ads in everything these days lol
  • Not for poc

I was hoping because poc characters were in the show, you would’ve included us with the development of this app. But it’s very disappointing. A lot of the photos come out wonky and nothing like an arcane character. Looks more like if you put a painting filters over a photo. Disappointed.
  • Literally doesn’t work

I’d give the developers credit for effort, but this app literally doesn’t do what it claims to. I tried a few pictures and they all resulted in a warped, inhuman shaped face and one even gave me two noses for no reason. Disappointing 😓
  • Horrible

The effect is awful and doesn’t resemble arcane at all. I’ve tried several photos of myself and friends, and none of them even look human after this app is through. Really disappointed, and I hope a future update makes it work
  • the poorest attempt I think could’ve been done.

I used a few different pictures— different lighting to each, different angles as well— all make me look beyond uncanny and downright creepy.

Funny if you keep putting in the same photo again and again and get a horror by the end of it.
  • Wth

It would work if it didn’t think nostrils were eyeballs
  • Needs to allow more than just square photos

App isn’t nearly as horrible as people are saying it is. Yes, the ads every time you need to process a photo can be annoying, but I have yet to have an issue closing them. I’d love it if you could have the effect work on the full photo rather than have to crop it into a square. Not EVERY photo is going to turn out well, but I’d say easily 75% of the photos I’ve used work great with it. You can check one of these edits on my wife’s Instagram (tobys_angel) and you will see how cool it turns out.

People complaining that every photo is “nightmare fuel”… have you ever wondered if that’s just the subject matter it has to work with? Take better photos and you will get better results, I promise. But it would be nice to get a paid version with no ads and the ability to do full body photos with some adjustment tools. For now, it works fine as a profile photo or Instagram post editor that is fun and easy to use.

Give me the ability to remove ads and have full size photo edits and I would gladly change this from a 3 to a 4.5 star app. It does what it says, you just need to understand like with ALL of these apps, it won’t work on every photo just because you want it to.
