This app is great to remind me what services have already been performed since I go to different shops to get various maintenance completed. It would be even better if the recurring services allowed me to log the last time I got a major service performed (a couple of years ago) that might not be needed for a couple of years to show up as a reminder. Currently, the service history is recorded, but the “% life remaining” indicator shows that it’s not started logging yet, and I can’t retroactively start the logging. This seems like a really straightforward fix, and it would make the app even better.Show lessMikeofthePNW

FYI - I'm currently working to give users the option to log services with an ODO lower then the current car's ODO, this maybe the feature you're looking for, the feature will be released in the next update. I just started using this app to track maintenance on my off-highway vehicle. So far it is exactly what I need except one thing. Since the service intervals are so different from a car, I wish I could manually enter the number of miles for the service interval instead of picking from a list.Giffofam

This is the closest replacement to Car Minder I can find. Overall, sImple to use and see at a glance how your car is doing.
Opportunities for improvement:
Ability to select multiple services at once for a given mileage/date, rather than having to address each individually. e.g. after a multi-point inspection, let me choose that items A, B, C … through X, Y and Z were addressed at this date/mileage
More sorting options; I want to see the remaining life of each service item up top, not all the services that I’ve listed but not yet done. (Applies mostly to newer cars with low mileage)
Ability to be notified about one-time items. Notifications currently require the service to be a repeated service.
The power button icon to the right of a yet-to-be-completed service and the “Details” to the right of that are all wasted space; consider refactoring. For example, tapping “Details” text on the “(Model) - Services” screen is no different than tapping anywhere other than the power button icon, which adds a service record.Show lessMike.P

Would not suggest this app.. you can’t enter new services without changing original miles☹️ can’t get back to main page unless you close the app 🤔 and they want you to “upgrade” by buying the app..it wont even work on the free app why would I go any further??

Update: 08/3/24 have you tried the latest version? - Update: 12/15/22 version 3.4.0 is now available and it should fix the issue about the Back button not showing up in iOS16. Would you please elaborate more on the issue you're describing about not being able to enter new services without changing original miles? The way it works is that if you log a new service and enter the millage for that car, all services under the car will be updated; that's actually a very cool feature. On the other hand, if what you want is to enter services that were done before you started using the app, you can do that by taping on the service you want to add records for and tap on the Service History button and then you can start adding records that were not tracked by the app, here you can enter any millage without affecting the services you're currently tracking. As far as the back-button not being visible, that's an issue with iOS16; the fix was released today under version 3.4.0, the update should be available in the App store in a day or two. Now, the $.99 cents upgrade you're talking about is to unlock some limited features such as Notifications, iCloud Sync etc. but the free app is completely functional and has no annoying ads. Also, please keep in mind that there are other expenses to keep the app in the App store and some server maintenance, this is without saying that I spent countless of hours developing the app, my only reward and what motivates me to continue improving the app are honest reviews. Update: 04/10/23 have you tried version 3.4.0?. Update 12/15/22: FYI, version 3.4.0 is now available in the app store and it should fix the issue about the back button not showing up in iOS16. - Hi, thank you for your comments. In iOS, the standard navigation system works as follow... as you view screens in an app, a Back-Arrow should appear on the top-left corner of the app you're using, this is how the native iOS navigation system should work, and it's how Car Cave should behave.
