  • Painful mobile app

Logseq on desktop is pretty great. But the mobile app is frustrating to use. It's slow and janky overall but my two biggest complaints are:

    1. Anytime you open the app, you have to wait about 10 seconds for it to finish syncing before you can use the app. Otherwise anything you type while the app is syncing will either get lost or it will overwrite something else you had written previously. This includes typing in the search box. If you're searching when the sink finishes, the search pain closes and loses what you were searching for. It's extremely annoying.

    2. You can't drag to select text anymore without the app thinking you are trying to indent or unindent a block. So trying to turn some text into a link for example is an absurd experience.

  • Best productivity tool available, hands down.

Stunning how much more productive I can be with this app.

Most apps of this sort are just information repositories where you dump all sorts of (potentially) useful info, then forget all about it.

It’s not like that with Logseq.

I literally work from inside of this app every day. It’s where all of my real work begins and ends.

All of the other “note taking” apps are pretty toys, but ultimately not much better than writing in a physical journal, tossing it in a drawer and only revisiting years later when the info is stale and not good for much other than nostalgia.

Logseq on the other hand is literally a “second” (and living) “brain”.

Download this app. Start slowly (it is intimidating at first), but within a week you won’t know how you lived without it.

    Then donate to the devs.

It’s critical that this tool continue to evolve.

  • Lockdown mode issues?

App appears to not load past the logo screen when lockdown mode is enabled. Logseq works well on desktop (Windows), but not on iOS in this manner. Would give higher rating if it worked fully.
  • Game changer!

The note taking app we've all been waiting for after Roam left us high and dry. And it keeps getting better.
  • Embracing linking folderless notes - fluid app

LogSeq is a fantastic took, it’s like Roam Research but much better (notice the app store rating). LogSeq’s desktop app is still new so I wasn’t expecting the ipad app to be fluid and smooth but it is, I haven’t encountered any bugs on iOS at all. For anyone considering trying LogSeq - try it! it’s *actually* free. You can sync notes with icloud, onedrive, or dropbox easily and access on a computer.
The system embraces sequential notetaking which may seem messy at first but when you start linking notes you’ll find that this folderless structure might actually be better for you. Folders get cluttered, in Logseq finding things feels more natural and faster than searching through folders, you find things through references and relationships. Worth a try, LogSeq is a game changer

  • Needs image thumbnail toggle option

20230201 [UPDATED]: Seems pretty good so far, but, experience teaches one to be cautious about praising apps on the crippled adware that is iOS until considerable time and experience using it have transpired. Overall, LogSeq feels promising so far even on iOS. Might even beat the snot out of Notes.app which quickly grows buggy when a file/note gets loaded up with images.

**I'm still convinced a global/page level "toggle" for images from thumbnail to full-size would be very helpful.** Assuming the code doesn't cause instability problems. I keep thinking "toggle" in the Logseq-way because I'm not a 100%-fan of how the Agenda app handles this even though it isn't showing signs of image-overloading instability like Apple's Notes.app. Yes, I've gotten better at collapsing and expanding Logseq pages/blocks but that isn't the issue. It's about emphasizing and de-emphasizing between Text and Images for increasing the read-write-ability versus the write-only syndrome that over takes our documentation/journal endeavors.

20230211: While I'm feeling warm&fuzzy about Logseq ... 4 to 5 stars suggesting 1st impression wasn't far off to date. Larding Logseq up with 'content' and the indexing hasn't failed yet. In fact, it hasn't crashed or even hiccuped yet! The "Help"/?-command is a bit cryptic but that is understandable as writing and maintaining "Help" for most software is mind-numbing and brutally unrewarding. One "cryptic" part is how important the "mode" is to how/which ?-commands will work or not and how subtle the changes to the interface are to signal current "mode". Probably, a newbie problem common to iOS app-ware some will sneer ;) I noticed some of the ?-key-chords have different color buttons. Maybe that could be expanded on a bit....

  • Feels buggy

The entire experience is very buggy and not sure friendly
  • Favorite daily note taking app

    I’ve used the following:
    - OneNote
    - Obsidian
    - Roam Research
    - Evernote
    - Notion
    - Apple Notes
    - Simplenote
    - Bear

Very good for what it is. Don’t expect a feature rich app like some of the others. This is the best one for daily notes and making connections between them.

The mobile app needs some work. I use this as a supplementary app to the main desktop version.

  • Great for mobile

Has replaced the drafts app for me. Free and great with iCloud sync and ADP enabled. Handled a conflict pretty well. Would pay anyway on open collective. Not as advanced as Obsidian but better for personal use.

I uploaded an image from my desktop but it doesn’t render on mobile. I made sure that the image was downloaded. Thanks for fixing block embed rendering.

  • Logseq is great! Mobile app leaves a bit to be desired.

It is very noticeable that this app is mostly just a web view... It is very hard and expensive to make a real iOS app, so i don't blame them, but there is a lot of room for improvement when it comes to app usability on touch screens, jankiness, etc.
