Best cross platform notes app out there
I’ve tried many apps and UpNote is the only one I’ve stuck with the longest. It keeps me productive and has just the right set of features to make it work for me.Cliche or not - I’ve tried them all, and this is by far the best
After years of being a faithful and paying user of a major competitor product, I finally had to look for a replacement due to regular large price increases and some (to me anyway) unnecessary bloat in that app and service.
Having tried nearly every notetaking app at some point over the last few years, I couldn’t find a good replacement. being in the Google ecosystem, I tried keep as my primary notetaking app for quite a while, but I just couldn’t make it work. I had seen UpNote on a few lists of worthy products to try, and I gave it a shot. I immediately felt like this was going to be a good solution and potentially even a better solution than what I had been using for years.
Having now used it for a couple of months now, being a paid premium user for most of that time, I can absolutely say this is a nearly perfect solution for me. It can work simply as a place to jot some quick thought, or it can easily organize the thousands of notes that I currently have. The folder and notebook structure makes sense to me, and the ability to use tags is incredibly convenient. Importing from other major services is extremely simple.
I would encourage anyone to at least give this a try. Once you see how much more affordable it is on top of everything else, I would imagine it could be hard to go back to another premium note taking app.Show lessDeveloper Response
Thank you so much for your review! We're delighted to hear that you're enjoying UpNote and we hope the app continues to be useful for you :)So close to my ideal note taking app!!
I am enjoying this app after moving from one note to Apple notes. I have had to rethink again after cross-platforming to a Windows machine. This allows me to do that. I am loving the hashtags and the fact you can save a hashtag search - which makes it very similar to the Apple notes Smart Folder (it would be better if I was able to save these searches on my iPhone/iPad BTW). It would be a more pleasant UI if those searches could be renamed to looks like a Smart Folder too.
I would really like to see PDFs in the note on mobile devices. It is very convenient to mark up in-app, which works on desktop but I have to click to open a link for PDF in mobile device which is an extra step.
I would really like to ‘scan document’ and have a PDF in the note rather than a picture. Scan document should really treat as a document.
Sharing notebooks for collaboration is the last thing that would make this a true productivity contender for the note taker space. You guys are in with a cross platform solid program..make it great!!
I look forward to seeing how this program evolvesShow less
