Great app

I have enjoyed using Telos Mesh so far, it was easy to connect the lights with Bluetooth. The app gives lots of useful options to tweak the light and schedule settings so it’s perfect for my growing room. Developer keeps adding new feature updates as well so that’s good.

Doesn’t work

Absolutely useless. Can’t connect lights - ‘provisioning failed’.

Hi We always thoroughly test each app version on multiple IOS devices before releasing and we’re confident that you should be able to add any Telos mesh device with the IOS app without issue. The only reason a device would repeatedly say “provisioning failed” is because it’s already added to a network and either hasn’t been deleted from the phone or hasn't been reset on the device or both. Steps to solve: Make sure you delete any unused/inactive lights from all networks on your phone by going to the menu on the individual lights page and pressing “Remove light”. Next do a hard reset on the Mesh device by pressing and holding the touch sensor for 3 seconds until it flashes red. When it starts flashing red, release your finger and then press and hold again for another 3 seconds to confirm the reset. The whole light will flash brightly 3x to confirm it’s been reset. The Mesh device will now be flashing blue which indicates it’s fully reset and ready to be added to a new network. I hope that helps, you're always welcome to give us a call or an email if you get stuck. Best regards Daniel

Amazing hardware, but the app can be a bit confusing

Getting to grips with this app took a little doing. The app interface looks sweet, but there are UX issues that still need addressing. Enabling Bluetooth connectivity and operating the unit from the smartphone I found a little too fiddly. The in-app visual clues to addressing user errors could be clearer.

I got there in the end, but not before several setup resets and restarts.

Response from developer

Hi Zig, Thanks for the feedback. We’re always working on improvements to the app and the overall user experience. Recently we have updated the iOS app to Mesh V2 and with that we’ve fixed some small issues and added some additional messages which hopefully make it a much smoother experience. It would be great to know if you’ve tested the latest version and how you're getting on with it. Best regards Kieran
