  • Why so much access?

I regret giving this app local wifi access. Should have used the local hotspot. It's not an app I would trust and it feels half baked
  • Lock doesn’t work

Install (iPhone) worked fine, connection worked fine, controlling fridge from app is fine - apart from that the lock button doesn’t do anything. Very easy to turn off the fridge accidentally when swiping up to leave app.
  • Will not connect

So we bought the TAW car refrigerator. I downloaded the app and connected to my 2.4 GHz WiFi as indicated in the manual (the device will only connect to a 2.4 GHz WiFi). All good so far. Next, I tried to connect using the auto connect feature, after approx 3-4 minutes, the app reported “thing_activator_add_device_timeout”. So I tried the manual connection. Followed the instructions in the app. Got as far as where the app tells you to connect to the device’s (car fridge) hot spot and provides a name(SmartLife-XXXX). That name never shows up in the list of WiFi/hotspots. It also never “sees” the device using Bluetooth.

It should be noted that this is the second Bodega car fridge I have that will not connect to the app. Same results on both devices.

    Nice idea, poorly executed.

Even worse manual. Never explains the “E” codes. For example, to change the temperature display from F to C, you a combination of button press to display “E5” and then using the + & - buttons to switch from one to the other. At no time does the manual explain what the other “E” codes mean.

Now the car fridges themselves work great. The temps are off slightly but not so much as to be a problem.

  • Useless, unable to connect

Unable to connect my Bodega refrigerator. Was able to connect last year, but now this app is useless.
  • Undecided

So so, some convenience within limits. Unable to adjust temperature and there is this bug showing app as “thing_” something something function. Home function also confusing, does this integrate with Apple Home or not ?
Bodega manual referred to this app. Initial setup needs some trial and error. Manual pairing procedure more successful than auto-connect.

  • Decent to but needs improvement

As far as function is concerned, yes it will work. But you rarely see the buttons illustrate the actual real-time status.

For example: Touch the button to turn it on. It turns on, but the button doesn’t update to “blue” indicating it’s on. You will hear the cooler beep, indicating the change.

Another example: the temperature has never shown what the actual temperature is in the cooler. Whenever you turn the unit on, that Tempe will never change.

    So status is horrible.

Interface is fine. It’s clear. Easy to read.

  • This App

You should update your app just for Bluetooth why do you need to clone t to WI-FI at all. It’s just like headphones and only needs Bluetooth. Also why did you make the controls on the cooler so complicated to set temperature?

Also I bought a 12 Volt Cooler from Bodega and if your car does not have enough power from the battery it will not charge the cooler at all and will stay in the 50-60 degrees.

  • Don’t trust it, and don’t use it.

It will trick you giving information it doesn’t need, it will say it needs a precise location on always on to get your network name even if local network and Bluetooth is on.

    It’s scum
  • Completely useless

App does not connect to the car refrigerator. The fact you have to connect to your wifi is a horrible design
  • Virus

A normal application using Bluetooth connection would not ask for local WiFi password, you know what would? A virus. Do not give out your WiFi password to any app, especially a Chinese one.
