  • Play this game. Now.

I have a really hard time summarizing how good this game is in a manner that’s both succinct and doesn’t give away its secrets, so I’ll just tell you that Immortality is earth shatteringly good. It’s written, directed, and acted to perfection. I have never been so thoroughly shaken by the ending to a game since the last of us part 2.

  • Videos won’t play

Just downloaded but the videos don’t play. I hear a clunk sound, then nothing. Force quitting and restarting doesn’t help. Too bad, I was looking forward to playing this.
  • Mind bending experience

I had to redownload the game because the first time, there was no audio, but once the issue was resolved I had an amazing time playing this game. It’s such a cool concept and I felt like the three movies were really well made, I was actually invested in the stories
  • Just doesn’t work

Downloads but then says I need to free up loads of space in my phone. Even after deleting the number doesn’t go down. Been broken ever since they introduced games to Netflix!
  • Superb

So I finally managed to download this game and I’m so glad I persevered as it’s excellent. A huuuuge game! The acting is marvellous by all, I can’t even imagine the amount of work that went in to it. Sam Barlow is a genius at this type of game. I’m not sure if I’m playing it right as I can’t figure out how to put things in order and am just finding as many clips as possible, I love the surprise….. you know the one! (no spoilers) wish I understood the layout and icons better but still enjoying it very much.

  • Very cool, immersive and... buggy

    Very cool and immersive!
Immortality is the kind of game that Netflix should keep sponsoring. It has everything a movie lover wants: excellent acting, dense characters, an engaging atmosphere, a good soundtrack and a great script. Directing this must have been a challenge. Kudos to Sam Barlow and team. The tech crew must solve the bugs that really hinder the *mobile experience* and introduce some way for you to visualize your progress in the game (achievements). That said, it's worth the 13Gb of your device :-)

  • Bug Report

Game’s great, just not on this platform. My first session of opening the game went great for an hour or two. I came back to it the next day, and now whenever I “zoom” to enter a new scene, all the UI disappears and I can’t scrub, rewind, or play. Only pause. Which means, if I pause a video, I can’t resume it or even exit, I just have to close the app.

  • Technically inaccurate

Hard to watch as someone who is a professional film editor. What was particularly hard to swallow is many of the shots appear shot on HD video cameras and the film look attempt is poorly implemented. Also there’s lots of zooms that technically are not possible on those old cameras, for instance they’ll zoom from crew to film action but in the old days you had to plan and measure zooms, they were very difficult to do on the fly and here obviously they have zoom on assist or they are shooting on a high end iphone. And the stuff that aupposedly might have been taped on high end beta doesn’t look authentic. Lastly as an editor playing this game mostly feels like another day in my career minus the pay. I will give it credit for trying to depict the abuse and sexism in the industry which is often not acknowledged even though its prevalent in modern times.

  • Videos no let playing

Like many other people, I downloaded the game successfully but was not able to get it running. The app does not let me click on any video and the game is just not playable. Was really looking forward to it. Hopefully the bug will be fixed soon!
  • Wow

I only stumbled on this game because I’m on vacation and opened Netflix on my iPad. I didn’t know Netflix had games, I saw this and checked it out.

I was very skeptical at first. . . Actually that skepticism never went away until it was over and I was screen capturing the credits to learn about the artist who created this piece.

Is skeptical the word? Reluctant curiosity? Fear? I don’t know.

This game is not for everybody but it is a very powerful piece. Not for the feint of heart.
