Every child deserves a chance to dream about the future, to experience joy, and to know God’s love. At Children of Promise, we call this wholeness, and it’s our calling to make a life of wholeness possible for children around the world.
Children have the best chance at wholeness when they have their basic needs met and when they are part of a loving community. Children of Promise’s local leaders in more than 30 countries around the world identify children in their communities who would benefit from child sponsorship. This ensures the support provided to sponsored children makes the biggest possible impact in their lives.
Through our child sponsorship programs, we focus on meeting the needs of children and their families in four core areas: nutrition, education, healthcare, and discipleship.
Perhaps you’d love to be a part of making wholeness possible for a child, but ongoing sponsorship isn’t a good fit for you. Through single or recurring gifts of any amount to the Gap Fund, you can still have a direct impact on making wholeness possible for a child by filling in the gaps that some sponsored children face. What kind of gaps are we talking about?
• Children for whom we haven’t yet been able to identify an ongoing sponsor can begin their journey with Children of Promise as a pre-sponsored child. This significantly decreases a child’s wait time!
• When a sponsor has to suspend their sponsorship, the Gap Fund enables us to continue sending monthly support for that child while we actively look for a new ongoing sponsor. Continuity of care is key!
• When children complete high school and have aspirations and acumen for additional education or training, the Gap Fund enables us to provide some scholarships for additional education.
When you support Children of Promise, you’re not just making a donation, you’re joining a family of local leaders from churches around the world, staff, sponsors, and donors. Together we are all working to bring hope and wholeness to children in need. As we share the love of Jesus, we become more whole, too. You’re invited to become a part of the Children of Promise family. Join us as we all journey toward wholeness together.
