  • Surprisingly fun and complex

    The game looks
Simplistic, but it’s actually quite challenging. The designs are cute and it isn’t P2W. It does take up your time but it rewards you with meaningful gains. Lots of character classes each with their own mechanic. I just started and want to try out the many classes.

Thankfully equipment levels carry over. I do wish they gave us more kamas to lvl items/companions a bit more. Other than that, I see me playing this weekly. Progress doesn’t feel like a ton of FOMO either. Great for parents and individuals with not a ton of time to spend hours upon hours in a game.
  • Nice on mobile

Thank you guys, very nice game for phones, I’m very happy I can play on my way home when I’m in the bus, when I’m outside home… venir smooth and well done. Should be Amazing if you guys add mode off line then when you go online it can transfer the data..
  • Great game

Honestly the perfect phone game for me. Decently wide arching RPG game without becoming overwhelming. No gatcha or FOMO predatory tactics. The gameplay is actually a game where I make decisions and play and not spam 3 abilities on repeat until the game ends(looking at the 50 autobattling Gatcha games out there). The games usually take ~5 minutes so not too long for a phone game.

The combat system isn’t perfect and there have been some glitchy mobile controls at times but I don’t need perfect combat for a phone game and the bugs aren’t common enough to be a real issue.
  • Exceptional Game

This game is quite possibly one of the best RPGs to be put onto the App Store. No content restrictions hidden behind pay walls, no pay to win, and an infinite amount of playstyles. More updates to come that will consistently upgrade the community aspects and PVP.
  • Exactly what I needed

I played waven when it first dropped on PC for the beta. I enjoyed it a lot, and I’ve been waiting on the mobile version since they announced it. To my surprise when i got the notification about the release I wanted to test it out right away. Great way to play on the go, and when away from pc everything is running really well. Thank you
  • Refreshing take on TacMMORPG

Ankama created Dofus and Wakfu, Dofus was a game I players in high school back in the 2000s. Waven is a simplified version of both games that uses deck building as a mechanic in the game but the overall structure of positioning and spells remains the same.

If you’re in the fence, download the game and play until level 15. By then you’ll get your first passive and you’ll have a better understanding of the mechanics. Do the story as much as you can until more islands open up. People are generally nice and will be down to party with you.

Max party member is 3. There is no coop in story quests. There’s plenty of content for at least 50 hours of game play (lv1-50) with end game content being lv120. The battle pass will help your character grow because of Wakfu Fragments. Everything else at the moment is an aesthetic change to your character’s presentation.

I bought the founders pack to support the game and I am not OP. Just to give you an idea of the transactions Ankama has for the game.

I tried to get all the relevant information in front and now the review. I found myself getting more addicted to the game once I understood how my class worked. For me there was a hint of old school MMORPG where no one understood the mechanics and were doing trial and error to figure things out.

There are some items descriptions that are confusing. Sometimes they are bugged or they do unintended actions that are not described. There’s a general sense of what each item/skill does but it does take some tinkering to figure out the process.

One minor gripe that I don’t like is that you can click and move on PC and phone. You have to drag your character to attack the enemy and what ends up happening is misinputs. I think the thought process is that this game was designed with touch controls in mind so it makes sense but for someone who desires a bit of accuracy in selection, it would be nice to tap my character and tap where I want to go.

I recommend going to forums and Reddit for information. There are deck building sites also that can be found on Reddit. Hope to see you all in game!
  • Amazing port

I love waven on pc and now that it’s mobile don’t have to worry about being away from pc. I can play at a more comfortable pace and have fun on the go
  • 6th rating

    Game is amazing
  • Underrated Gem

I don't usually make reviews, but this game is such a hidden gem of a game that I couldn't resist. There are plenty of fun battles, fun classes to try, many ways of customizing characters and easy skill resets. You can experiment with different deck ideas and play as much as you want every day without worrying about stamina systems or dailies. The storyline is a bit basic/non-existent, but it's a fun game to play that manages to engage the mind as well. Very fun, and highly recommend to anyone.
  • Love it!

Been waiting to have it on my phone, started playing since beta, so exited for all the updates and love that I can play it anywhere now.
