The concept and artwork from this game is really great.
The ads every few minutes really interrupt the atmosphere and considering there are already black bars at the top and bottom, banner ads would be better for this kind of game, then full screen ones for hints.
Issue with hints is that they’re not connected to game play properly. I kept getting hints for parts I’d already completed, then having to watch more ads to get to hints that might be useful.
Some sections are a little bug-y too. I watched a play through of this game where someone played on the windows version, and there were certain aspects missing in this iOS eversion.
The box of matches, and the dot dash code for the centre line of the 5 tile puzzle were both missing, and I also ended up completing the game without ever unlocking the cupboard to the far right in the lab.
Gameplay was fun when not interrupted, and I did really like the art and the games whole vibe, it’s just the ads and the missing aspects that take away from the experience.
