I really don’t like reading negative reviews here, but hopefully developers receive this to improve the product. We were looking to watch one particular movie on our TV and absolutely no options worked out. You are unable to airplay from the ecosystem in the Chromecast was basically unusable. I have an extremely high Internet connection, both internal and external, but the quality was unwatchable.
So I installed the app on my smart TV but none of the filters were working. Despite saying they were activated, absolutely nothing was filtered out and F bombs coming through. Hooking your iPad up to your TV isn’t a great option either because there is no maximize option on the video player in the app so the resolution is clipped.
The only way we were able to get this to work was played on the laptop hooked up to the TV, but the quality was pretty bad, compared to just normal streaming. And obviously, we don’t wanna have to go grab the laptop every time we want to just watch a movie.
These are all just technical issues. So bottom line, I tried all the apps just to get this thing to play on my TV and none of them worked. The only thing that worked was the computer, and even that failed to play 15 minutes toward the end of the movie. The loading animation came up and it would not play, despite my internet being fine. So obviously a server issue.
Obviously, this is not a very technically savvy company, but they could seriously benefit from the small investment in finding competent developers. I have not used a service so buggy in a long time to the point where literally nothing worked.
First thing I would do is have a look at the TV app and figure out why their service doesn’t work on it. That would be the easiest option. Then figure out the rest.
My wife and I have used other services to filter movies, but all came with limitations, some greater than others. When we were introduced to Enjoy, we loved it immediately. The ability to filter movies and tv shows as we want to watch them on our streaming channels is nothing short of awesome! We cannot recommend this highly enough. My wife and I have been looking for years for a filtering service that really worked and we’ve finally found that with Enjoy! We love it and it’s so easy to use and setup. In fact we are getting it for our parents for Christmas.
I wish we didn’t have the need for filtering services and that movie studios would put out movies and TV shows with less mindless blasphemy and sexual relations. Since this is how things are going, filtering services like Enjoy are a must have for a family that wishes to enjoy watching movies together. I used VidAngel before and still do, but Enjoy’s catalogue is larger, and though there are still a few problems, this app deserves 10 stars for the care taken to providing proper filtering for improper content. Many thanks to the developers behind this app.
I’ve been using enjoy for a few months now and I have to say they have gone out of their way to be accommodating and fix any issues as soon as possible. I would recommend to all who are looking for clean entertainment that all in the family can enjoy. The world is ugly enough without dragging it into our living room.
I love that I can watch shows around my kids without having to worry about profanity or violence .
I really appreciate that the certified movies are filtering out what I care for. I love that everything from Disney and Max are available. There are so many shows that I want to watch that I now can.
I’ve been using filtering services for over 15 years and in today’s digital world, ENJOY is an incredibly useful & versatile tool. The automatic “language filters” tool is what makes this filtering service so unique. Now my family can enjoy, (no pun intended), a lot of awesome oldies, language-free, that we would otherwise never watch and that filtering services which filter out all forms of content will never have the time to get to. Plus, it even works on YouTube!
I’ve only been using ENJOY since March of 2023 and I’ve already recommended their service to many people, who are all surprised to hear what’s available for only $6 a month.
