Reviews of Sonic Dream Team

  • Fantastic

Very impressed by this game! Very fun and definitely not your average mobile game lol. The base campaign (which has 4 levels each consisting of 3 acts and a boss fight) is pretty easy (imo). It’s slightly difficult and time consuming to get the S ranks but overall very fun. If you’re looking for a challenge, the Sweet Dreams campaign (which consists of 5 acts) can truly test your skills. Once completing the first 4 acts you unlock the final level, bittersweet way. This finale will likely have even the most seasoned Sonic players on their toes. Idk if there will be more updates but it’s already great as it is so 5 stars from me. Is this game alone worth the apple arcade subscription? In my opinion, no. However the game doesn’t take that long to play through and you can cancel your subscription whenever you like. Overall great game and my only real issue with it is that it’s not on consoles.
  • Yo SonicDreamTeam, I am mad. What did you do to my favorite sonic character?

Hey SonicDreamTeam, I’m rusty Rose and I’m sonic’s biggest fan but I’m also my favorite character is rouge and you make her sound so awful and especially cream. She sounds so squeaky and rouge She sounds like a little kid. And I can’t take this anymore. She sounds like a little kid, but rouge is supposed to be a very sassy person so let’s make her sound more you know and how come all the boys. Their voices are so accurate. The girls are just squeaky and Amy she sounds like. Rouge! so I don’t wanna take the risk but if you guys don’t fix their voices, I might become sonic second biggest fan. If you don’t fix the voices because who was the best character to me and it seems like you ruined her fix it.
  • One of the Best Sonic Games on the App Store

I love this game! It’s one of the best takes on 3D Sonic I’ve ever played. 😁 Sonic Dream Team does a great job at balancing the simplicity of Sonic while also having the depth the series needs to be fun. The levels are well designed, the characters are all fun to play as and the collectables are fun to track down! My one complaint is the variety in play styles. There are six playable characters, yet only three unique play styles. Characters like Knuckles and Rogue play the exact same, which disincentivizes me to play as Rogue, since I like her less than Knuckles. I just end up picking my favorite character of each play style. Compare that to a game like Sonic Mania, which has five playable characters who all have unique gameplay, making me play through the game as all of them. While Dream Team has a different structure than Mania, I still wish all six playable had their own gameplay style like Mania’s do. But that’s a small nitpick, this is a fantastic game! Big love to the devs at SEGA Hardlight! 💙💙💙
