Actually FREE!

I’ve tried four different apps for a countdown and this is the only one with no strings attached. Also- so many awesome photos for the home screen widget too… I’m getting excited! Thanks to you guys for posting your Reddit post, that’s how I found it.

Does countdowns well but forces free trial on you without consent

You start countdowns on the app and they work pretty well, but after a couple of days it tells you that you have X amount of days until your free trial that you didn’t start on your own ends and your countdowns won’t work after that.
Really un-trustful practice 👎

What is going on with this app

I genuinely use this app and like it and i don’t usually write reviews but i feel like this needs to be said! a while ago when i first got the app i got a text on my phone asking if anything could make the app better. Since i didn’t really know much about it but just thought the icon was ugly, i offered to add another appearance (light). surprisingly they listened and added it to the app and gave me a free 3 month premium thing. however, after that 3 months to something i thought was completely free, it had a pop-up wall telling me to pay. not only that but literally all of the app icons need pay?? seriously what is going on

Over the last few months we made the app free to use for the most used features and some others are a part of Premium like the extra app icon choice. We're still learning from feedback just like yours to make whats free and what's Premium feel like a good fit for anyone. Paid for app but not working

The app has billed me monthly but hasn’t worked for over 3 months. When I open it, it asks to pay again and I’ve just been billed another month

Used to be good, developers got greedy.

I used to love using this app with my girlfriend. We occasionally are long distance and it was such a cute way to bond and look forward to seeing each other again. The developers, however, became greedy and force you into a subscription. You don’t have a choice of ads with a free plan - you straight up have to pay for premium or annoy your friends into signing up to get access. It’s so sad that such a dear app has fallen from grace like this. Will be moving on, I suggest not downloading and wasting your time.

Highly recommend

I didn’t know it would be so hard to find a simple countdown app however most of the top recommended countdown apps you have to pay extra for widgets. Not only were they not very good but features required premium plans. This one is great with free widgets and high quality in app performance

Easily one of my favorite apps

When my partner and I decided to take the kids on a vacation, we were looking for an app where we could get a countdown and also share the dates with the kids so they could request the days off work and see the countdown too.
During my search, I found a Reddit post where this guy (Blake) said he created an app called Outside. So I downloaded it and it was exactly what I was looking for! Even better really.
If you’re looking for a countdown app of any kind, or want to be able to share important dates with friends or family, I really recommend Outside.
It’s designed really well and has lots of options for creating your events. Being able to share it with my family is so much better than just putting it on a calendar. The background photos and countdown makes the events that much more exciting.
