Very easy thanks
Not accurate, app needs improvement
I’ve put my number and postal code into the app so many times no code was texted to my phone, tonight finally I was able to magically do the test and honestly I know for a fact that this is not an accurate test, my phone is barely 4 months old It’s in a hard case with screen protector very well looked after, still looks brand new yet this app is telling me it’s in only good condition, I’m a little hard of hearing and when the test was asking to click on the sounds in order, honestly it was hard to hear all 4 sounds together and then click on all 4 in order to get the final score.

Optus is the sickest!!!
Unable to access app
I have tried many many times to start the assessment of my phone without success.
Im I enter the mobile number and the postcode as instructed ( as per my account details) and get nowhere.. like a brick wall.. it is frustrating.
I hope OPTUS can rectify this problem so it doesn’t happen to others in future..
If OPTUS WANT TO OFFER THIS PRODUCT TO CUSTOMERS; IT HAS TO BE UP AND RUNNING SO THE CUSTOMER IS ABLE TO ACTUALLY ‘USE’ THE OFFER as it is described..
NO MORE BRICK WALLS OPTUS

Doesn’t work
App doesn’t work. Fails to proceed after asking for you details.
Don’t bother with this or Optus “Upgrade and Protect” add on!!
Don’t bother using this to check your devices condition….stated a new phone was in “poor condition” wt….
If you’re silly like me and think this would work like Telstra’s phone checker and their upgrade and protect $15/month add on plan - think again.
If you’re happy to be charged the $249 each time you return a phone that’s in perfect condition…then this is for you, if not, you’ll find yourself wasting time calling Optus to challenge it.
**Never had an issue with Telstra’s upgrade and protect device exchange😞 save time and money and go elsewhere.

Doesn’t work
Can’t get past the entering in of your postcode before the app crashes and closes. Just like the rest of Optus, absolutely useless.
Optus staff in store didn’t accept the result of this assessment
I did the assessment and got the result saying that my phone is in good working order and get the quote of $99 upgrade fee. However after I redeemed the upgrade offer, I went back home, finished data transfer between the old and the new phone, reset the old phone to wipe personal data(so the app was wiped as well) and went to another Optus store near my office the next day to return the phone, the staff said the phone is not in good working order because it has some scratches on screen - in order to be eligible for $99 upgrade the old phone has to be in “re-sellable” status which is not the case even if I pointed the Ts&Cs to him.
What’s the point of using this app if Optus staff doesn’t recognize the assessment result and apply their own discretionary decision to determine whether I should pay $99 as normal upgrade or $245 damage fee?
