Private data isn’t viable - FYI
So, I downloaded and tested it out and I don’t see my (or anyone’s) very personal information visible. (So no home address, etc). Profession and location (city for example) are, but everything else - address, phone, all that is hidden.
That said, the app is very clunky. When I did a search by profession, I got many people but couldn’t select names from the list. ( I was told by a friend the search function is better on a desktop. ) But when searching by specific name, that worked better and you can send a direct message to the person via this system.
It for sure is a work in progress, seems they’re working on it. Keep your expectations low and be kind, and I think you’ll be fine with this app. App design is hard and takes time and money, and it seems they’re trying to find ways to connect people so I applaud the attempt!

Privacy Nightmare
Smithies beware! Your personal contact information (including home address, phone number, email, employer, etc.) is all set to public as the default— so everyone else using this app can automatically see ALL of those details about you, unless you download the app, log in, and manually edit your profile settings.
