  • A very poor app

    Does not play on pc.
    Does not support play list.
Unable to rip music for my other devices.
Full of other albums publicity I don’t care about.

How can you do this to J-Hope guys??
  • very great idea!

i bought svt’s face the sun and haven’t loaded it yet but my newjeans album came today and that finally motivated me to download the app. very straightforward, u scan the qr code, it loads the music, photos, and even scans of the photocards u got! the sound quality is good, no ads or anything annoying like that. u can listen to it when ur in another app which is nice too. only downside is that the weverse albums aren’t included in video call/fansign event entries which could def help with the heaps of physical albums that go to waste for entries. but i love the product itself. so much cheaper than a $20-30 album. i hope this expands to other groups as well!

  • Minus star! Duped once but not again

Another fool who purchased J Hope’s Jack in the Box only to discover I cannot download it to my IPod. I do not have a cell phone and am not about to tote an iPad around just to use the Weverse app. I wrote to customer support and got no reply. That is telling in itself!! This no cd option seems like a greedy money grab thought up by some bean counter. Even the later-to-be-released vinyl is limited in use as far as portability. For those who do not mind this setup, what happens when your device dies or gets replaced? The lot of those at Weverse should make this right and cowtow while doing so.

  • Feel like I got conned

I bought Jhope’s Jack in the Box album physically and I knew the album itself was going to be digital but this app is so restricting. I wanted to at least download the music so i can play it elsewhere but you can’t do that with this app. It’s completely proprietary, forcing you to have yet another music app to play your music. They even put photos and such in the app, which couldve been a nice physical addition to the physical album I bought, but they just give me my photocards in a flimsy piece of plastic and tell me to download this app for the rest of the stuff i payed for.

If i want to buy an actual download of the album id need to spend 12 more bucks on hybe’s website….. so so stupid. This app is just plain anti consumer and I wont be supporting any products that use this pointless app. Jhope deserved a full physical release, not whatever this is.

  • Great audio quality

I finally listened to one of the albums I purchased - j-hope’s JITB. The audio quality is superb! Much better than some of the other streaming services. The only problem is I have to scroll in order to find the album I purchased. It would be great if the purchased albums are in the top or in the menu for easier find.

Also, the problem some have about counting towards charts is irrelevant since the app is designed to listen to music. If you want to listen for charting, there are many other apps in the market for that purpose. As a new-to-the-market music app, this fulfills it’s purpose with excellent audio - better than some charting-friendly apps.

  • I honestly like it

The only reason people don’t like it is because it’s new, but this will soon become a trend with all artists and everyone will be fine. The music and app run just fine for me with and without internet/ cellular data and I’ve encountered no problems yet! You guys knew what you were buying when you bought the album so if you don’t like it it’s more up to personal taste imo. I think it’s an amazing idea and honestly so much better for the environment and albums are cheaper too!! I like it personally <3

  • Does it’s job - eco friendly and innovative

As a unique platform to play purchased digital albums and display album artwork it does its job really well. Quality of playback is good and user interface is good, though takes some getting used to after so long using only iTunes etc to play digital music purchases. It’s a bit of a shame American music charts are so slow and so backward that they still don’t count digital albums sold like this (ie sold with physical packaging but with a QR code for album to play on this platform instead of a CD) as physical or digital sales for chart purchases. But that’s a chart and industry gatekeeper problem. It’s better for the environment and effectively supports the artist directly in terms of how much they earn (so much more than pennies from streams alone). US chart corporations will someday catch up and recognize these sales…as people choose to consume and support artists’ art and music in ways to minimize environmental impact and platforms like this grow and evolve.
PS - any review in 2022 yelling about NFTs isn’t using the app and/or doesn’t understand it.

  • app does what it needs to do

app is fine does exactly what it needs to do.
  • New direction!

A new way to listen to music from artists I already love! Looking forward to listening to my JITB Weverse album soon and exploring the app more.
  • J to the Hope, Jack in the Box!

J-Hope decided that his album would be available on this app so I am excited to try out all the new features and content included with the album here. So far the app is working well.
