Love the game Scene It!
Movie Scene It! is my favorite board game. I own all of the general movie DVD editions and many more (80s, TV, Jr., etc).
This edition was a happy surprise find for me at Target. We came home and played it right away and were at first bummed it was app based and you have to cast it to your tv.
I’d much prefer a DVD. I guess people don’t have dvd players anymore?
Anywho, then we read all of the bad reviews for this app. That scared me. But it wasn’t bad! It did crash once when we first started but after it closed and was opened again it worked great.
I fear with an app this company could abandon any updates needed and make it obsolete quickly but I have older dvds from the other editions so new cards are a plus.Show lessfunangela
A few changes could make it great
We’ve been playing scene it for many years now. We own multiple versions of the board game and the Xbox 360 versions.
This COULD be a great version of the game with a couple changes/add ons.
1) Add party play. We love to play the game but sometimes when the family is getting ready to eat at a party it’s fun to just put it on party play and let everyone guess while they get their food.
2) Since it’s an app and not a pre-recorded DVD, add player levels. If you have a movie nerd playing against casual viewers it can take some of the fun out it. Add player levels so player 1 (or which ever level that player chooses) gets level 3 difficulty questions, and so on. Give more of an incentive for the casual viewers to want to play against the movie buffs.
Just make sure it supports up to 6 or maybe 8 (or more) players.
3) Add different versions to the app and let people play with the same board. In the home page you get to choose which version you want to launch. Normal version, 80’s, classic, horror, ect…. Would be fun at Halloween or Christmas parties to play those themed versions!! Many would happily pay for addons if they can play using one app and one board!Show lessRaziel57

App doesn’t work

Once they update/fix bugs it’ll be fun
I was so excited to see Scene It back on the shelves but maybe they should have just kept it as a DVD. The app is so buggy and you can only screen mirror to a smart TV. Please allow for casting/airplay and I think it would work better! Buggy and crashes a ton. Also needs some more clips, I haven’t played it that much and feel like I see a lot of the same movies.Show lesswow an artist
I want to like this
Big fan of the old board game, but I wish this app would allow me to use my “scene it?” game board that I already have instead of having to buy the one that’s needed for this. Hopefully this updates to be used with all formatsLivyourlife98
Make it a TV App
Was really looking forward to playing the game. Since there’s no Apple Play feature, you have to Screen Mirror. Then I got into about 3 scenes before it starts crashing every time. It would probably serve better as a TV App that I just have to sign into, but for now I’m going to get my money back.SSHale21
Repeat questions
Game repeats the same questions over and over again in short periods of time, like multiple times in the same game.kbmb19

We streamed it on a laptop using an HDMI cord so that we can use our TV. We had to get up after every time that we rolled the dice unless we used the cards, assuming that you don’t use the timer. It was super glitchy and we even tried using the app on our phone in hopes that we could connect it to our smart TV; we could not. Same problems with the glitches on our phones as well. I would have preferred using a DVD to play the game, like they used to. It seemed that they only used 10 different movies to base questions off of. Also, any time that it lagged it would repeat the questions that we had before. Given that it lagged a lot, it was a bit frustrating to navigate. Save your self some heart ache and head ache. App doesn’t work
We couldn’t even play the game because the app wouldn’t load and then when it did it would freeze. Will be returning.nicole53776
