Great App bad habits
This app comes as close to how we play canasta in a group. The bots are pretty good as well.
Unfortunately it deals your cards to you after you meld without having to ask for them. It has created a bad habit that when I’m playing in person I forget to ask for my cards after I go down with my initial meld. This of course really upsets my partner.
It would be great if there were an option to have to request these cards vs being automatically dispensed. I had to quit using the game for that reason ( amongst others) .
Also it would be great if there were an annual subscription option for the app that gives a discount compared to the monthly cost.

Horrible
Beware! The computer opponents have a huge advantage. Instead of creating a good game-playing environment, the developers decided to take the easy way out and allow their computer opponents to cheat. My wife and I played against two computer opponents and they had quick wild melds twice in two consecutive hands. And then did it again in the very next game! They also get special hands at a ridiculously high rate. There are a plethora of other examples.
I’ve seen other games where people spout off about it being rigged, but after playing a while, I realized they just weren’t very good at the game. This is different. Again—beware!!Show lessLowRight
Just My Two Cents…
I’ve been subscribed and using the Real Canasta APP for one (1) year, and I’ve decided to use different APP.
I’ve only played the “solitaire” form of game, but a fair amount of the computer-player responses seem simplistic, compared to what would be expected from experienced players. And this refers to my partner, as well as the opponents in the game(s).
Most discouraging….the majority of the games are won by the computer, hands down. And, it makes the games far less fun.Show lesskgoiii
Frustrated
My opponent BOTS seem to be getting dealt the highest point cards approximately 80% of the time. It is very frustrating to be dealt 4’s, 5’s, and 6’s along with other cards that only encourage SPECIAL HANDS. Often I do not get enough points to open, the opposing BOTS are consistently given the advantage. The hands dealt in real life Canasta usually give everyone a fair chance. PLEASE HAVE RANDOM DEALING as in real life Canasta games INSTEAD OF PROGRAMMED DEALING. Also, it SEEMS I’m playing the same hands over and over. Please give your CANASTA CUSTOMERS a fair opportunity to win and enjoy their games. Thank you, sssShow less40207
Beginner’s adjunct teacher
As a new canasta player, I have found this app to be extremely helpful. I like the way it tells me why I can’t do something, such as take the pack before I have melded, or go out when I only have one canasta. The game has a ton of rules which playing on the app helps to reinforce. And I enjoy it! Five stars all the way!Show lesssullyrose
Glitches
I am frustrated with the number of glitches on the site! I love the game, but the computer almost always wins, gets special hands, etc.. I sometimes am unable to open the game, for example right ow, which prompted me to write this. I’m getting a bright, white screen…..nothing more. I love playing the game, but……I paid for a year’s subscription, and I feel they should fix the GLITCHES! Please!!!Show lessCosfran
I would recommend any other canasta app
This is a very frustrating game. The beginner mode is not good for learning because the computers on opposing team will always get all of the jokers & all of the packs. It’s actually kind of crazy, the game moves so fast because the opposing computers win immediately. I had to triple check that I’m on beginner / slow mode. A couple of observations
This app is pretty true to the game, however, after playing a few times, I noticed several times that “my partner” discarded a card we had melded. I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t happen in a real game. Please take a look at that.maggie odell
Slanted
The opponents are clearly given an advantage with all the wild cards and 2’s they are dealt, particularly initially. This enables them to meld first then take the deck constantly. Seriously, I’m not a bad player but I win maybe 10% of the time. Please change this!!Lfpeggy
Saving Aces
It is so frustrating when the computer bot that is your partner constantly has more than 2 Aces towards the end of the game.Nwingard
