If you know what Canasta is, you’re aware that there are different Canasta variants: Modern Canasta (also known as American Canasta), Classic Canasta, Hand and Foot Canasta, Samba, Buraco, Canastra, Burraco, Tranca, and more.
While the mechanics are similar to Gin or Rummy, Modern Canasta is the ultimate version of the original Canasta, an exciting card game created in Uruguay in the 1930s. If you already know how to play Gin, Rummy, or any other variant of Canasta, you’ll love Modern Canasta! If you are not yet a card player, you just found the perfect card game to start with!
HOW TO PLAY CANASTA JUNCTION?
You can play Canasta Junction by downloading the application from the App Store, or you can play it using any web browser on your computer.
Canasta Junction is for everyone, whether you’re a beginner or an expert!
You choose the type of play: Live Play (multiplayer), Duplicate, or Solitaire:
◆ Live Play: play and chat with friends or sit at a random table and make new ones! You may also create your own table for a private game and decide what the house rules will be. And if a player is late, you can start with a robot!
◆ Duplicate: compete with other participants by playing the very same hands! Here is how it works: in each duplicate tournament you play six hands against our robots, and then your final score gets ranked against many other players. Tournaments are held daily. Rule out luck and show you are the King/Queen of Canasta Junction!
◆ Solitaire: play a match of Canasta with three robots. You can practice at any time of the day for free! All completed hands give you experience points. The more you practice and play, the higher your Canasta Junction Rank will be!
