We believe that a church should first and foremost be set on glorifying God and advancing and proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. That should permeate every facet of ministry. Everything we do, from evangelism and outreach, to encouraging and educating fellow believers, should be set on advancing the agenda and kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and that agenda and kingdom is laid out quite thoroughly, concisely, and without error in His holy Word, the Bible. This is His and His church alone. When we worship, it is not to satiate or appease ourselves, but instead to honor and glorify His great name; acknowledging His sovereign power and majesty, and His limitless love, mercy, and grace. When we meet together for Bible study or enhancement of our faith, it is to learn through His Word, the Bible, how to imitate the image of Jesus Christ more thoroughly, to understand how we fit into God's story (and NOT how God fits into ours!), and to be able to share our faith more effectively. When we gather together in homes and church to casually break bread and spend time together, it is to encourage one another through transparency and authentic sharing to bear each other's burdens and learn more of one another to love each other well, lifting each other up to continue on in our Christlike pursuits. And when we evangelize and outreach to our community, it is ultimately to share the good news of Jesus Christ, with the hope that all who hear it will have faith in Him, receive the limitless grace and mercy of God through the name of Jesus, be reconciled to a just and righteous God, receive the power and inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and pursue Christlikeness for the remaining of their days. This app will serve as a way for Christ followers at First Baptist Church Pulaski to unite for the purposes of Jesus Christ, be encouraged as they follow Him, and have access to the proclamation and teaching of God's Word to strengthen themselves as they walk through this world; again, always, to glorify our great God and King and pursue the advancement of His kingdom.
