App is great, not happy with compost containers
Kudos to the city of Regina for providing the Waste collection app. Well done!
However, I have no accolades for their composting containers. I used the indoor compost container for a while but wasn’t happy to have bugs living in it. I came up with a simpler and extremely more cost-effective solution in which I place compostable materials into a plastic container that I keep in the fridge to slow the rate of decomposition. When the container gets full, I pour the contents into a compostable bag and keep it either in the fridge or the freezer. The city’s compost container now sits unused on a shelf.
Additionally, the outdoor compost bin seems excessive for the one or two tiny bags of compostable materials that I throw out each week. Might it have been possible to provide one-quarter the number of outdoor bins for communal use?
In my opinion, the city’s recycling program has unnecessarily (and ironically) introduced an excessive amount of plastic into our community.

Why you should use this app
It is a really good app it helps me remember the days to take out my recycling, garbage I 100% recommend
Really good
I love this app is it tells me when I have garbage, recycling and waste to put out
Excellent
Thank god for this app husband always forgets so I am glad I get the alerts to put it out.
Review
I find is a helpful app by far. The only issue that I have is that we are not to find of how staggered the days are or fall for instance garbage by the time we have pick up for garbage the bin is overflowing which the city of Regina frowns upon. But other than that the system works perfect
We enjoy the Notifications
Given the additional complexity of trying to remember which bin to put out when, the notifications are very helpful.
Only once that we didn’t receive a notification until the day after pickup. Thank goodness for the ease getting the info we needed by going to the City of Regina website.

Very helpful
The app is a great reminder of which bin to put out and when to put it out, especially for those of us who are not usually on top of this sort of detail! Great job City of Regina! PS I have been waiting for many years for a city-wide composting program and am so happy it has arrived!
The food waste program is a waste.
There is so little that goes into it and it sits and rots causing a gagging stench. You can even smell the truck coming. More and more taxes for do gooder programs. The has to stop! Where are you dumping the food waste now?
Better than I hoped for
With the green blue and brown bins. We have had to move to a smaller garbage container in the kitchen because so little goes in it. I am pretty sure that was the hope. Well done again City of Regina
Garbage
The app is helpful but prefer weekly pick up
