  • Ingredients are not all listed

    The app has been malfunctioning. When I open up a recipe, oftentimes, only one ingredient is listed. Please advise. I am very distressed about this.

  • Incomplete and buggy but amazing recipes

    I wish I could give this app 5 stars but sadly I cannot when half of the recipes aren’t fully completed and sometimes don’t explain how to do certain things. Not only that but I’ll see recipes on the instagram that I want to try but I can’t find it on the app… which I pay for … thinking about unsubscribing because I don’t think it’s worth 8$

    Hi, Thank you for sharing you concerns. We have reported this to the developer about the recipes not fully showing, this is 100% an error that should not be occurring. We also try out best to add any recipes from the blog into the app. We are happy to resolve this as soon as we can.
  • Has helped de-stress WFPB meals

    I love the PlantYou cookbook, and these recipes are great and the planner works well for me. I had one issue with a glitch that customer service was quick to fix as well.
    This planner is NOT one that requires you to put a meal in a slot for each day. It’s has categories for the week: breakfast, lunch/dinner, snacks, and dessert.
    This is how I plan so it’s perfect for me. I don’t want to hav to figure out what I’m going to make n 4 days at 11am. I just ant a list that I know I’m prepared to make. Most things are less than 30 minutes as well.
    I actually really like the shopping list as well. It’s easy to use and you can add additional items yourself.

  • Incomplete Recipes

    I love the idea of this app but many of the recipes are incomplete and only lost one ingredient.

    Hi there, this shouldn't be the case with our app. All recipes have full ingredient lists, and step by step instructions. Please send us an email to share what error has occurred support@plantyou.com.
  • Deceiving

    I received an email saying that the app now has 25 recipes for free….I updated the app and am getting nothing.
    I’d like to see how it works before committing to a subscription, and was excited that I’d get a small sneak peek.
    This is disappointing.

    Thank you for expressing your concerns. It appeared that we had an error internally with the release of the free version. We have now fixed this. Please explore that app with the limited free content feature available without subscription.
  • Amazing for recipes and food inspo!

    I followed the creator of this app for a while on social media before coming to her app. (In all honesty, I didn’t know it existed! I love this app for what it is. It gives you so many different recipes to try and is fairly easy to use. My only suggestion would be that the app has more detailed steps in their cooking process. A lot of the times I find myself referring to the video that’s posted on instagram to see how she does it step by step. For example, the picture of the recipe shows diced tomatoes but the steps don’t include any prep work. Which might seem redundant but as someone who needs extra clarification on recipes that would really help! Other than that the quality of the food you make and how delicious they are is amazing 🙏🏻

  • App needs more development before it’s worth the price

    The app is a great concept, it’s just not well executed just yet. The devs seem responsive and seem to be squashing bugs as quickly as they can, which is good.

    The main issue is the price. $7.99/mo for a buggy, glitchy app is steep. I have about 120 apps on my phone and this is the most expensive one. Ironically, it’s also the app with the most issues.

    Aside from all the bugs (freezing/crashing, back button issues), some very basic features are missing:

    - Ability to print recipes
    - Ability to edit, combine, or completely remove auto added recipe items in the grocery list (if 3 recipes in my meal plan call for maple syrup, I don’t need varying amounts of maple syrup on my grocery list)

    I have the PlantYou cookbook and hoped this app would be a nice way to access the cookbook recipes on my phone when I’m not near my cookbook. I canceled my free trial of the app and will stick to the cookbook and the PlantYou website.

    Maybe further down the line when this app is more developed, I’ll resubscribe. I’m not getting enough bang for my 8 bucks at this point to pay for the app.

  • This is my third time reviewing this app

    The first time I reviewed it. It would not let you in unless you paid!
    Then I was asked by the developer to amend my rating and check out the app with its new features. And so I did. It seemed like I had some recipes I could look at, and it was pretty cool. So I gave it a great rating.
    But now, I can’t sign in and get into the app at all unless I say I forgot my password word. Then they send me a link and it allows me to go straight into the app. But if I sign out of the app and try to go back in then I’m blocked from going in by a pop-up that gives me choices of payment and I can’t really get into the app again unless I say I forgot my password then i can get in. Seems like a glitch they need to fix before my rating goes back up again

  • App needs a lot of work

    App itself is super glitchy. The first time I opened it got stuck on one of the recipes. It’s slow and I don’t even know if the recipes are good (I’m sure they are) because it takes so long for them to populate. Please fix!
