I feel crappy about giving such a low rating because I expected to love the app but I used my free trial a year ago so I went into this blind but I wanted to get the new year off on the right track. I purchased one month through the App Store intending on trying it out and buying a year if I loved it or cancelling the app of if I didn’t. Less than 12 hours and I’m finding it unusable. Here are the issues I’ve found so far: 1. the app suggested recipes that are locked to me. When I tap on the recipe it asks me to “upgrade to access” via a quarterly or annual membership. If a monthly membership isn’t a “full” membership with access to the full app please let us know. I feel like I spent $25 on a limited access app. 2. There are a number of recipes in the recipe box that are locked and request “upgrade to access” despite having purchased a subscription. 3. When I go to my settings the app shows I’m on the “free plan”. This leads me to believe this is the issue is why I have limited access. I’ve cancelled my subscription and asked Apple for a refund. Sadly I don’t think it’ll come through and I feel like I overpaid for a lesson. I’m sure there are better alternatives out there, just do your research and try your best to get access to a free trial before you jump in. Also, buy your subscription through the actual FOK website rather than the App Store in order to maybe have better luck with a refund should you need it.
