  • Fun, inexpensive and easy

We did this for Luxembourg and find it a great way to not just “walk around and look at stuff,” but actually learn about the major landmarks without having to deal with a guided tour. The puzzles were fun, and the flexibility to pause and come back after a break was great. We’re looking forward to trying this in other cities!

  • Worthwhile and good value

Really enjoyed this. A great way to see parts of the city - gives a purpose to the walking. Helful chat line and email helpful responses when we had difficulty downloading. Will look for more in other cities.
  • Coimbra walkabout

This is the first time I’ve used the app and it was fantastic. We got to see all the interesting spots and they are none of the history. The app said we could start anywhere and we did start halfway through and felt that we were double backing quite a bit. I would recommend you start where the app suggests to avoid seeing the same historical buildings again.. we felt we backtracked quite a bit but it was still fun!

  • Fab way to discover a city!

Came across this app via Get Your Guide originally. A fun and innovative way of discovering city’s. Really enjoyed. Have done Bratislava and Krakow and will definitely do more!
  • San Sebastián

We had a great time exploring the city with this app. The riddles were a nice way to make you look a little closer.

  • Fantastic

We had such a great time following the clues to look around the city and find the places of interest. Amazing idea!!!
  • Loved it!

    Great scavenger hunt round krakow
  • Fun

We enjoyed the tour in Helsinki. Especially because it also guided us through some less touristy places. We will look up this company again for the next site we visit :)
  • What an experience!

First off a little bumpy start through the Viator app only because the details were a little vague and maybe needed to be a little more specific. We were unaware that we needed this app as well to complete the journey and the booking reference # did not work. However, Viator customer service was speedy and very helpful and we quickly were able to get on our journey and what a fun time! My girlfriend and I felt like professor Langdon in DaVinci Code as we discovered Toulouse’s beautiful sites. The background information was thorough and interesting, your instructions on how the game and puzzles are solved were very clear, the puzzles started fairly simple but did ramp up as we went along. A couple of them took a few minutes to think about but we did it! I recommend a pen and paper as well as you have to work out the clues carefully. This was extremely affordable and would be fun for the whole family if you have children, the puzzles will keep them entertained while you get to witness these amazing sites. We loved that we were able to stop and have a beverage or a bite to eat while doing this tour, (no time constraints). Things to make sure you have:
    1. Took about 2:30 hours to walk to all 10 sites.(we did stop 2 times for a beverage it was 31 degrees and we did a little sightseeing along the way so give yourself lots of time)
    2. Make sure your phone has a good data plan and is fully charged unless you know where you are going (I used the maps a lot because I have never been to Toulouse and the streets are a little confusing) this was everything I wanted to experience on my last day in France and will do this any place I travel in the future.
