  • Great way to explore a city

I used this app on a date in Krakow and we had a fantastic time exploring the city, enjoying fun facts about the local history and seeing a lot of the main tourist attractions, solving riddles as we went. A good level of difficulty with an intuitive interface. Will definitely do again
  • Awful.

Had the app loaded - had bought a self guided tour in Get Your Guide. Loaded the tour. Arrived in the city. App wouldn’t load. Wouldn’t load all day, so I just left it and went on my way. I only had a data SIM card and couldn’t call.
Tried to get a refund later. Customer service was not a service at all, just asked me why I didn’t reach out sooner. And was condescending by telling me I could have emailed or WhatsApp. No refund.

  • Had a wonderful time but a few hiccups along the way

The app was very good. The places were a good walking distance, which made the experience more hands-on. It was a good full day activity especially if you want to make stops and enjoy the twists and turns of the city. Entering the buildings are optional and riddles could be solved without having to go inside the sites. We did the Montreal guided tour scavenger hunt and had a blast. The riddles were challenging enough to make us think but also doable.
We wanted solutions to the riddles we couldn’t figure out ourselves after we skipped them. The hints could be more helpful, especially the second hint, which was too vague and a repeat of the first hint. There was also a glitch in the app for one question which made it so that we couldn’t see if the answer we put was correct or not.
We deleted the app to try to see if the glitch would go away and tried to log back in, but it wouldn’t let us so we needed to switch emails, which is quite a convoluted way of logging back into your own account.
P.S. definitely find free parking beforehand and walk from spot to spot because this is a full day experience and parking can be quite expensive and hard to find
    Overall, wonderful experience!

  • Fine for the price

Tour and scavenger hunt around Zurich. A few quirks in the app, nothing fancy. Good for the price. It was $11, other tours (using other apps) were about $30.
  • Great concept, terrible execution

We did the escape game in Sydney and it was a thoroughly confusing and infuriating experience. Many of the clues are worded poorly so it’s difficult to know with some of them what you actually need to do; some clues are actually outdated (with photos that are no longer relevant); with others, the answers are in fact wrong; and with some clues, the format (numerical, letters) isn’t clear so you end up putting answers in incorrectly.

The actual concept is great but this app needs A LOT of work to make it useful and enjoyable.

  • Good idea, but a disappointment

It’s not that I hated the app, I just don’t think it’s really anything. The concept of the app seemed good, but I don’t think that it lived up to what it advertised. Maybe I just picked a bad tour to do since it was the one for Bratislava which may not be as expansive as larger capital cities. The interface was lackluster and limiting. It wasn’t engaging or fun in anyway. They mentioned having riddles which didn’t exist. The worst part was probably the fact that in the app the tour prices were around 20 euros which is wayyyyy too much for what you get. Thankfully, I got a serial number by buying a ticket on Get Your Guide instead for 2.5 euros instead and honestly you really only get 1 euro’s worth of content in the end. 🤷🏻‍♀️😢

Dear Sara thank you for your review. It really seems that you purchased a simple tour and not a scavenger hunt. We cannot do anything in this case, thank you!
  • Easy to use and crowd friendly

    Pros:
    - user friendly and intuitive app design
    - single team code can be used on multiple devices
    - each user can choose their own language setting for info
    - simple riddles but fun (eg, spot the difference, word scramble, addition)
    - used google maps for walking directions, which were spot on to the building / monument
    - saw a lot of things we wouldn’t have normally encountered
    - not timed and can take at your own pace, even over multiple days

    Cons:
    - the info button at each often gave general info of the city. Would have preferred specific info related to the monument, building, people commemorated in the statue, etc.

Overall it was a great team building event for a multilingual team. The app lent itself to us all working together but with the comfort of native languages. Very pleased!
