Just brilliant

Rarely write reviews but felt compelled to here!
Such a simple app to use and has everything I could possibly need. I’m new to following charts and this made life so much easier! I can highlight the row I’m on while also keeping a row counter on screen so I can keep track of exactly where I am at all times. And every time I open a pattern it takes me back to exactly where I was.
It’s a brilliant place to keep all my patterns in one place and track progress on projects. It’s also very aesthetically pleasing which makes it both simple and genuinely pleasant/enjoyable to use. I have projects on ravelry but it is such an unenjoyable experience to use and navigate that site that I tend to avoid it for keeping track of my own projects.
Definitely recommend downloading!

Really useful!

I love this app so much! It’s super beautiful and it’s so handy to be able to organize all your patterns and yarn on an app. I love that you’re able to upload your own pdf patterns.

I would totally love to pay for the premium version but I feel like there aren’t enough patterns in the plus size range.

Timer

I would love to see as timer added to this app. Something that you can log on and log off to get a cumulative total of time spent on a project. Placement near the counters would be ideal.

Fallen out of love.

I fell in love with this app when I first discovered it. But now I’m having to deal with constant ads everytime I clicked to a different category of my saved and organized patterns. The ad shows up on the app and website and it just drives me nuts. Why ruin such a good app with this ad showing up every time?

Response from developer

HI! So nice to hear that you fell in love, but obviously we would still like to be in touch 🥰 We know there was some bug that made the ads appear too often, and we will keep reviewing the effect of ads!

Don’t like the updates

I liked it better when my downloaded patterns were on the bar at the bottom and not it asks me every time I look at my pattern if I want to upgrade to premium. I pretty much only use it to organize patterns, might have to find something more geared to that

Response from developer

Hi - and thanks for the feedback! We had to rearange for the included patterns, but we always appreciate feedback! If you have any other, please send it to help@knitandnote.com so we can use the insight in our further development 😊

AMAZING!!!

There’s nothing to say except it is AMAZING

Response from developer

Aahh- nothing to say except THANKS! We appreciate comments like this so much ❤️

good but has really annoying bug

really aesthetic app, the cumulative statistics on yarn usage/projects completed and stash tracker is really fun to be able to see, the badge system is fun, i still use ravelry for patterns so haven't really touched any community features to speak about them.
however! the row counter, which is the feature i downloaded it for, is buggy. sometimes, after i knit for a session and close it and open it the next day, it doesn't save the new rows into the counter and shows the values before the knit session. this makes keeping track a lot more difficult since i can't trust it anymore :(
it's also now ad/subscription powered, so i think this bug about a fundamental feature should really be fixed soon.

Thanks for the feedback! This is a very strange bug that happens to a few. We have had some fixes for - and we'll keep working on it until we don't get any reports on it - because this is really fundamental for many people as you are mentioning. If you do experience it any more - please let us know at help@knitandnote.com 😊

Love it but doesn't work offline?

I love all the free features this app has to offer! I do agree it would be better if the row tracker had a better layout somehow; especially if there are a lot of rows to add - even a reset button would be helpful! Also this app does not work offline at all, which is really unfortunate as I wasn't able to use it while travelling - not super helpful if you can't use it half the time. Other than that, amazing ideas and keep it up!

Has potential to replace Ravelry for tracking

This has the potential to replace Ravelry for tracking my projects, stash, and needles for me, but there are a few things that could potentially hold me back from long-term usage:

1) Since I’m in the US i have it set to Imperial. Which is great for yards and inches, but I really have no concept of ounces in regards to yarn. I really don’t know know what 100 grams of yarn is in ounces. I’m so use to grams when using and buying yarn. So it would be nice to see grams in the Imperial setting.

2) I would also like to see yards/meters rather than grams of yarn left in the stash. If I see 60 grams of yarn left in my stash, I don’t know if I have enough to knit a hat; but if I see 175 yards left I would know.

Other than that and the slight learning curve, it’s a nice free app for tracking your knitting. I do like that it tracks the number of projects completed and how much yarn you used during the year.

Hmm - we'll take this back to our product development team! If you have any other input please let us know at help@knitandnote.com as we truly appreciate all feedback that can be used to improve the app 😊

Counter is not reliable

Was loving it, but it won’t save my row counters and even when it does save it for a little while it won’t transfer over if I use a row counter in the web browser, I can’t switch to the app. Got the app to keep my patterns and my tracking in one place but if it won’t save and won’t work between web and app, it’s not doing what I need.
