Not size inclusive

I am a kickstarter backer, and therefore have the newly launched premium subscription which includes access to a pattern library.

I was very excited about this, but quickly became very disappointed and disheartened.

I have a 47” bust (~120 cm) and I am not able to use a vast majority of the patterns because of it. The max size for most of the patterns seems to be XL (which is typically 110-120cm but I find is often too tight for me, 2XL is better for me).

I went through all 120 garment knitting patterns in English for women (that include a bust measurement, so sweaters, cardigans, tanks, dresses, etc.) and I found 23 total patterns where my size, first, existed, and second was not the largest size. Only 23 of the 120. This is just under 20% of patterns that are available. Most of the patterns I could knit all came from a single designer.

I know that this is a new feature and that more will be added, but less than 20% of patterns in the library being even remotely size inclusive (which typically requires sizes up to at least a 60” / 152.4 cm bust measurement) was disappointing to say the least.

Size inclusivity was clearly not a priority when curating this pattern library. And over 80% of patterns I would consider making are inaccessible for me and many others.

Please consider making this a priority in this pattern library.

Great way to organize

I love this app, it’s great to store all of my patterns! You can mark up patterns, keep track of your supplies stashes, and have multiple stitch counters for one pattern. My one suggestion is to add a stitch counter widget so that we can keep track of our rows from our home or Lock Screen!

Thanks! ❤️ That is a good idea - we'll add that to our idea board 😊

No longer working

Loved the functions of the app and the aesthetics but it is no longer loading my files even after I deleted the app so I have lost my place and lost my notes.

Love this app!

I always have several crochet projects on the go, so to be able to have them all together is so helpful for me. I love that you can count stitches, add the hook/needle size you’re using and make notes on pdf patterns. I like the UI and it’s nice to use, I hope the app keeps going!

Knitter’s BFF

I love this app! Knit&Note has really helped me gather all of my patterns in one place (as I used to print them out and leave them everywhere, lol) and keep track of my stitches (or whatever else I’d like to track) as I go along my projects. I also love that it saves the progress of my stitches as I switch between projects- no more “was I knitting or purling?”
I know it’s still in its beginning phase and there’s some aspects I’d like to see (such as an offline mode) , but this takes time to develop. I’m looking forward to see where this app goes. :)

So glad to read your feedback here. Really appreciate it, and glad to hear it gives you value 🥰

The only knitting app you will ever need!!!

If you are not using Knit&Note, you are seriously missing out! This app is packed into a great, convenient little bundle that is easy to use! First, this app is extremely user-friendly with a great UI interface that features aesthetically pleasing colors and hues. Next, the way to organize your knitting are great! Not only can you organize your yarn stashes and tools, but you are also organize your projects on current or future planning. There is also a great section for organizing your patterns into a great lil database for you and the ways to organize them is endless. You can even view your pattern in the project’s folder with in-screen tools such as a row counter (with the ability to add limitless ones), highlighter, pen, and a ruler. Inside the app too is a increase/ decrease calculator, yarn calculator, a rule, a journal, badges, and an overview of your year stats on yarn used. Lastly, the community section is a great lil bonus of the app. Everyone has been wonderful and is a great place to show off your progress and projects! A must for every knitter!

Reorders photos??

Good app overall, except when I try to upload as photos (I’ve been doing all pdf until now), it reorders them randomly after I save. They were in the correct order before I saved, then I went to open the pattern and it was out of order. Not very helpful

Row Counter

I like that there’s a row counter, but it would be really helpful if you could set the counter to reset after a certain amount of rows for charts that repeat. Other than that this app seems like a better free version of other knitting tracking apps

Measurement ruler is not correct.

The inch ruler is off by 1/8 in one inch! Also the cm ruler is also too big.

Needs work

This app is…fine… I really like being able to catalog my yarn stash, and see stats about how much I have used over time. However, the entry method is a bit confusing and very time consuming. It also does not really work correctly when you attempt to use yarn out of your stash to complete a project, it is always telling me that I don’t have enough, or does not delete it from my existing amounts.
