Constant bugs and lack of support leading to $1ks in lost revenue
Hostify’s sales team misrepresented their product, and if their product worked as they had advertised, it could have been great. Unfortunately, that was far from the case.
Hostify was riddled with bugs, some of which so glaringly obvious, you’d think how could they even sell a product built this poorly. I highly doubt they do any sort of QA or regression testing on their product, as the issues we experienced using Hostify could have been easily discovered with a quick test of their product before they released breaking changes.
They dropped our management and pet fees, also overwriting our cancellation policy, affecting 17 of our bookings, and costing us $1ks in lost revenue. Not once, not twice, almost every other day, we would discover glaring issues with our listings, such as fees dropped, calendar dates unblocked, blatantly incorrect room layouts (a 2 bedroom property showing up as a 4 bedroom), missing amenities (properties showing up without a pool), and missed messages across all our channels.
Their support team was painfully slow at responding to our issues, taking weeks to resolve critical issues, such as our fees being dropped and listings showing up blatantly incorrect. On multiple occasions, I had to directly email their lead engineer and copy our sales rep just to get a response.
I would HIGHLY advise anyone looking for a PMS/channel manager against choosing Hostify. It caused us more headache than solutions, and there are many other PMSes/channel managers out there that are much better, and won’t lead to losing out on $1ks in revenue.
