  • Problem with continuing from last point

Really like the game but every time I leave the game and go back, click on continue, it takes me back a couple of chapters that I’ve already completed, even though it tells me it’s saving the game as I progress. I try to go to the chapter I’m in from main menu but just get a black loading screen

  • Beautiful but buggy

I want to love this game. It’s beautifully drawn and the radio news/music is a fantastic addition. I would love to find out more of the story. However, I am now on my 4th attempt to play through this game because of all the bugs. This latest time, all of the chapters I had already played through saved but none would load. Had to go back to the train station for the 3rd time. Hopefully the kinks get worked out soon.

  • Glitch

Great game, I enjoy it a lot. But when I pressed ‘continue’ to get back into the game i always end up glitched in the train yard area below the platform so I can’t go anywhere, so I can’t continue the game unless irl download it and start again

  • The screenshots don’t do it justice

The game has a neat art style, very nice music, and smooth gameplay. The screenshot choice is really odd. Who is choosing the screenshots??
  • Game wouldn’t start.

    Title ^
  • Incredible

Beautiful art, compelling story, fantastic concept, engaging combat although Josephine is a totally broken. Easy 5 stars.
  • Crash ruined my game - edited

Was into the humbolt gardens and tabbed out to answer a text message, came back in and the game has restarted. No problem I’ll just press continue, saw plenty of auto save signs Loaded it up and I’m back at the wedding with George. Wtf…. Okay, I’ll try chapters, just started the gardens and I clicked that. Game wouldn’t load Tried this 3 more times and it still wouldn’t load. Tried the one before it, still wouldn’t load Chose the 2nd chapter just to try that and it loaded almost instantly. Love the story, combat is like easy - mid difficulty but not too hard to punish you. But this crash / bug just ruins it for me.

Edit: After witnessing a play thru for the story, Game is a solid 4/5 story banger. The HPR music and banter really humanizes the story and ties everything together well. Parts of it felt like it was… like a little less polish here or there, but the story is riveting and powerful, I am a grown man experiencing sadness after finishing this and I hope it gets more attention from people. It’s a beautiful story / adventure

  • Nice little game but with some save game issues

It has some lovely music, an interesting story, and is quite a relaxing game with some strategy elements. The only down side is that the saving functionality has caused me a few headaches and having to repeat sections.

  • Meh

Seems like it could be a pleasant adventure but boat got stuck at the basketball court. Can’t move forward. Deleting app. Of course netflix already grabbed my data so gets me to think maybe that was really the only point of this game to begin with?

  • Actually good?

High waters is an adventure game that follows a teenager living in a post-apocalyptic world, trying to get a better life for himself. Him and some friends must navigate and battle their way to a utopia, fighting and befriending people for and against the utopia they’re trying to get to along the way. High waters is a great game with a fun story and interesting battle mechanics, and I only have two problems with it

    1) Although the combat in the game requires a good amount of strategy and is fun to play, it’s far too easy and it becomes less and less fun the more you play. Meeting new characters is great don’t get me wrong, but I can’t help but feel that the most challenging boss fight in the entire game is the viking one at the start. The skill caps for each character is low, and although each passive ability and skill that the characters possess are fun to use and work around, there’s not much mixing and matching compared to other games that use the same battle format.

    2) The story was compelling and intriguing at the start, but gosh did the ending let me down. Not only did it feel rushed, but there was no big reveal nor a heartwarming moment in sight up to a few flashes of scenes right at the end. I can’t help but wish that there was a choice not to (spoiler) leave earth and choose to live instead of survive like many of the characters were telling us to do at the start. Plus, each character lacked the depth and connection I wanted to have with them. The story was fun, and the ending was unique, but that’s all I can really say about it.

I recommend getting this game if you already have Netflix, and don’t let these problems deter you if you’re interested in spending around 6 hours exploring this world. To all future players: have fun bloodlusting your way to the end of the game!
