Fav game ever
I absolutely love this game! I found it about a year ago and played pretty much every day for a while, but then life happened and I forgot it. I came back a few days ago as life had slowed down some and I had a free time period every day where I was limited in what I could do. This game is perfect for that!! I actually find myself wondering if places like these actually exist as I would love to move into a house like this and fix it up a bit, grow my own food, fish, forage, etc. I do wish we could talk to the tourists (perhaps see what they like and what they want from the town, more festivals maybe? Or adding a bath house?). The daily good deed is exciting, and I really enjoy having helped this little town. I saw there was a “new update” but I’m still working on the original task list from the mayor. I was surprised to find that different fish weren’t actually only located in certain spots or times of day, same with the bugs. I did just see an owl for the first time though! Overall, as a busy mom who isn’t the best at video games, I absolutely love this one as it’s fairly easy to pick up and navigate, as well as having lots to do without feeling overwhelming. I’d like to see more interaction with other characters like townspeople and tourists, maybe new recipes, animals, bugs, etc. But at the same time, for me just trying to get the whole year’s events done in only one game year is quite a challenge by itself! Wonderful game you’ve made!

I needed this.
I’m going through a very rough time in my life right now, and this is just what I needed. Our character arrives at their Japanese homestead, and while giving us cute first-person dialogue, we build a thriving farm. Absolutely love it.

Sea Turtles & Late game
Before I get to the Sea Turtles and late game, I do enjoy this game. It was a lovely little find in the App Store, and I’m very glad I downloaded it!
However.
The late game is very boring. It’s a lot of nothing; I find myself stepping away from the game more often than not. Or I’m making pottery for the 50th time and sleep-skipping through days.
I really don’t like the save mechanic. I wish I could load at the start of the day, so that if I missed something it’s no big deal.
Now onto the turtles. Luck Must be at 100%, ok cool I can do that. I have to wait All Night for the turtle to lay her eggs, passing out on the beach. Ok cool, got it. I Booked it to the beach the next morning to watch over the eggs—didn’t take care of/look at anything else, and I have my running shoes on—I get there at 5:26am (in-game time) birds already got the eggs. Great. Fantastic. I did everything right and now I have to wait an Entire year of doing nothing, because I’m in the late game, only to hope it doesn’t glitch (?) again, or to hope for better rng. Genuinely 1/10 on the sea turtle. I also can’t progress the game until I finish the turtle quest, so it’s extremely slow.
My hope is that this game is meant to be played long-term, and that this isn’t just a quick cash grab. It feels like they put so much effort into it for it to just be that. I just really hope the devs read this and fix some things.
