  • App is good but a little buggy

I've been using Basis for about 10 days and I'm liking what it can do. But experiencing some data source issues and preferences changes that won't stay saved and revert back.

Trying to find out how to contact the developer but no joy. Attempted to submit my issues to the coach but not very helpful for this situation. I would like to have sent this response to an email. But not very apparent where and how to contact them.

Overall I do like the app and have paid for the subscription.

  • Privacy nightmare

Super interesting app, but the amount and types of personal/private data harvested from users is exploitative and unnecessary for the app’s functionality. What is the purpose of tracking and storing my purchases, Location, Content, User Data, Health Data, etc… all without the option of opting out or anonymity? I don’t mind paying… but if I am paying with my cash, I don’t want to also pay with my private data.

Devs- if your ROI is lacking with subs alone, you’re charging too little. If you collect/store user data, you should explain exactly what you are doing with the data and the rights over the data you are asserting in simple unambiguous language, not buried in multiple pages of legal jargon.

  • Very helpful

The protocols are really helpful, I found myself watching tons of content from the health portal of YouTube but felt overwhelmed because I wasn’t able to track everything they’d recommend. The protocols feature does exactly that for me and keeps me on track.
  • What I’ve been looking for

I’m a huge fan of the wellness guru trifecta: my main man Huberman, the ever-insightful Tim Ferriss, and the visionary Bryan Johnson. But, trying to follow their sage advice feels like trying to juggle while riding a unicycle – blindfolded. Finding their nuggets of wisdom that actually apply to me, deciphering them into actionable daily or weekly steps, incorporating these into my life, monitoring my progress, and seeking answers to my never-ending questions? It’s been a Herculean task. I’ve dabbled with various apps, entertained hiring a personal guru, and even attempted to whip up my own digital solution, but to no avail. It turned out to be as time-consuming and costly as buying avocados, only to watch them go from rock-hard to overripe in a day.

But then, this app appeared like a beacon of hope. It’s as if the longevity gods finally tuned into my prayers and decided to throw me a bone. Though it’s early days, I’m head over heels for it.

Now, if I may nudge the developers with a piece of lighthearted feedback: could you perhaps take it a step further and facilitate my supplement orders? Specifically, those endorsed by the Huberman/Bryan Johnson wellness regime I so religiously follow. It’s the only piece missing in my quest to become the ultimate wellness warrior without actually moving a muscle.
