App is simple, thorough and flexible.

I have been using versions of this app for over 3 years. I set up different accounts to monitor different types of spending. I also made up accounts projecting my budget one month out and one year out, and also one for my fixed and variable expenses, and one for my savings goals. I check my bank account every morning over coffee (because I have been hacked a couple of times), and I reconcile my app totals to my bank. Once you get in the groove this is the simplest app Iโ€™ve found to use. I do wish I could make my paycheck land on Fridays when the 1st and 15th fall on the weekend, and that I could choose which accounts to include in the tally at the bottom of the main page, since many of my accounts are subsets or projections. There is probably a setting here I could be using to fix that. One of the most useful components is setting up monthly, bi-monthly and annual charges. I set the dates at my pay dates on the 1st and 15th, but put the actual due date in the heading (ex: Phone - 18th), and change the posting date to the due date when it shows up in my account. Nothing catches me off guard now. Not even annual fees for subscriptions and memberships. I donโ€™t link any accounts to the app, to keep a firewall between my actual accounts, so I canโ€™t speak to that as an option. I prefer to be in control of what I input. This app is simple, thorough and flexible. Highly recommended.

Great app , I use it every day

syncing between my iPad & iPhone.

My IPad & iPhone no longer sync automatically despite using both apps regularly. I have to sync them manually.

Used the app for years! Fantastic!

I donโ€™t often write reviews but this app has been brilliant over the years and Iโ€™ve used it without any issues. Itโ€™s everything I need it to do. Itโ€™s simple and effective no issues whatsoever. Thank you for the great job youโ€™ve done and keep up the good work.

Complete absence of customer support

Following the failure of my usual accounts app after 8 years use, I tried the Lite version for a couple of weeks and purchased the full app in the knowledge that there is no apparent customer support and crossed my fingers in the hope that I would not need any.

Comments from the developer that contact can be made through the Reviews section or a dead Facebook page are disingenuous, to say the least.

I would have happily paid more for the app had some support been included and would have given a 4* review.

Upgraded from previous version

I upgraded to Accounts 3 from Accounts 2 & had the original Accounts before that. I wanted to be able to use the iCloud sync feature but I recently got a new iPad Pro & downloaded the app. I followed all the instructions to sync the data from my iPhone to the iPad but apparently my iPhone has the Face ID for opening the app and that didnโ€™t transfer so the app is requiring a passcode to access my data however, I have no idea what that passcode could possibly be and no idea how to find out what it is or how to reset it. So, I can still only access my information on my iPhone with the faceID and donโ€™t know what to do to get access to the app on my iPad or how to change the passcode so that it is something that I actually know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Help

Need help can not get income to appear on reports page I know Iโ€™m doing something wrong but not sure please help love the app

Very good, needs a few extras

Very easy to use, very simple interface, kudos. Much easier than a spread sheet for keeping track of bank accounts, but I would like a couple of extras. As many have noted, there is no way to see future recurring transactions which will affect available balances. There could be a toggle to show them or not as we wish, a select time frame to show them, eg., the next month, etc.

Thanks to a previous reviewer, I set up an account that shows all my transaction for a month, including recurring, but they all need to be entered individually. This would not be needed if recurring charges were already there, but an alternative is to be able to use one account to be a template for a new month. I could see set up monthly accounts starting with the template account of recurring charges.

Obviously, the best would be to display all future recurring charges in one account, but being able to duplicate a template would help.

Does Not Sync - Download Database Does Not Work

The Accounts 3 app works well for individual use, but Iโ€™ve struggled to sync it with my husbandโ€™s phone despite following all troubleshooting steps. Iโ€™ve deleted and reinstalled his app multiple times, but it still wonโ€™t sync, which is disappointing since we rely on having a shared view of our finances. We typically meet weekly to review our budget, but without a functioning sync, he canโ€™t see updates, which defeats the purpose of sharing the app.

It would be helpful if the app offered at least a basic chat or email support option. The lack of direct support makes it hard to address issues like this, and while I appreciate that itโ€™s a reasonably priced app, I still expect key features like syncing to work reliably. I previously used Accounts 2, which synced seamlessly, so I had high expectations for Accounts 3. Please address this problemโ€”itโ€™s frustrating to see this core feature not functioning properly despite my following all the provided instructions.
