  • Love the game but

The game is the best but whenever I get to the monkey dance part it keeps logging me off
  • Thoroughly enjoy playing!

I admit I would give 5/5 if the pricing for this game wasn’t so high but I thoroughly enjoy playing it. I’m about 63% done at this point and have played about 16 hours with constant fun. I enjoy the story and the side quests more than the main quests because I’m more of an adventure type of gamer. The art is very cute, and I love all the collectibles and ability to customize.

Now it was a pricey game, being $25 for all open areas or $5 for each area but I had the funds to spend it on this game, and I’m having fun so I can’t complain! If you don’t want to pay for it, then simply move on to another game that has ads, that’s all I can say.
  • Supremely Paywalled

This is a great game - at least, it would be. Rather than outright telling you that certain sections are inaccessible (i.e., pretty much the entirety of the game), you are forced to find this out on your own. The full game is around $24 to buy all of the expansions, $5 per area, but you don't figure that out until you've already invested a significant amount of time into the game, got to those areas, and found that they were blocked off.

This would be an amazing game if it were fully free, mostly free (with some paid sections), or even fully paid-for, but no. It instead pulls some weird bait and switch.

Again, almost ALL of the game is inaccessible, past the first villiage and a few small areas you can explore. It should be listed on here as an unpaid demo instead of a game, but instead they went the deceptive route. In short, don't play this game thinking it's a free game; it's not.
  • Purchasing

I loved the game. It was so cute and fun. I played for a while, then tried to advance into the next phase only to be met with “Buy this to continue playing.” …? Really? I understand the developers need money in some sort of way, but why couldn’t that be mentioned first before I downloaded it? Why couldn’t it be “buy this special addition” or “buy gold” or whatever? You can only play the first bit (the sun one/monkey one) and then it doesn’t let you go further until you buy it. I was really excited to play it. That was a huge bummer. Not everyone can afford that. Just because a bunch of streamers can doesn’t mean the vast majority of the players can.
  • Awesome but…

I really enjoyed the part of the game that was playable. My only issue would be that instead of showing the game costs actual money, you let us play through 20 ish minutes of it then hit us with a $30 full game unlock(via 5-6 $5 unlocks). Just show everyone it’s a trial or a “try before you buy” kind of situation. The game is shown off as FREE when in reality it’s a full priced Indy game
  • TOP 5 FAVORITE GAMES I HAVE EVER PLAYED!

Prefacing this by saying that yes to access the full game you have to purchase other parts of the map (seems as if all bad reviews are because of this🙄) I was VERY surprised at the 3.5 Apple Store rating for Ogu, mostly due to the price but they don’t consider the amount of content they’re getting. This isn’t a generic “mobile” game. There aren’t many games available on mobile that are this good and luckily it’s accessible on mobile! It’s available on steam as well and switch soon (as soon as I got into it I thought wow this would be amazing on the switch!) but to be able to play a game like this on your phone while waiting, at work, etc is a game changer. I wouldn’t be able to enjoy the game as much or as often if I only played it on PC/Switch. I’m so glad that mobile gaming has came this far and that the Devs went thru the trouble to make it available on mobile. You can really tell the time and love that the creators put into this game. The amount of quests, collectibles, puzzles, etc hooked me from central forest (free map). Only with that map it would still be 5 stars to me. There are so many hidden gems in this and you can play on a map thinking you’ve discovered everything and completely miss something that you find later on. Graphics are beautifully done, regions are done well, the adorable characters are lovable, and overall a very eye pleasing game. This will be one of very very few games that I will 100% on any console. The ONLY complaint, not complaint, just bothersome part about the game is clicking through the quests/phone call/inventory pages. The arrow buttons are very small and it’s hard to quickly reread a quest. I’ve recommended this game to everyone I know. I happened upon this game by chance! I was filtering thru games trying to find something worthwhile and immediately was taken aback by how this isn’t advertised on the front page or top 10. Thanks to the creators! Yall rock, and definitely made a smart move making central forest free because anyone that plays it can see why the rest of the map cost money. Also who would pay 30$ for a “mobile” game, so devs were nice enough to let people access parts for free and to show them why it’s worthy of the cost! In central forest I kept saying to myself there’s no way this game should be free! Can’t wait to check out other games by them!! Keep doing what you’re doing, this is a breath of fresh air into the App Store and into mobile gamings future.
  • can’t justify spending almost $30 to complete a game

This game started out so fun and actually enjoyable to play! I love the character designs and the story until I was basically blocked from completing this game due to the pay wall. I can’t imagine spending $30 on a game I’ll be done with in 4 days. It would’ve been fun to finish the game but sadly spending that much money on a game in this economy is not justifiable.

Hello. "Ogu and the Secret Forest" is currently being sold on Steam (PC) at the same price. Over 30,000 players have already purchased the Steam package, and the average playtime is over 10 hours. The game offers more than 15 hours of gameplay to reach the normal ending, and over 30 hours to complete the final ending. We understand that refunds can be relatively difficult, so we've chosen this sales approach to allow more players to experience the game first. We hope you enjoy your adventure!
  • Money

I love Osu Forest it is my favorite game I have ever played but when I was at the moon forest it cost MONEY! and all the others ones too I even looked up how to get out of moon forest and every one was FREE?! like why do they get free and some others have to pay for the full experience I think this is outrageous
  • i’m very sad 😭

i loved the game. i played through the entire first section in a day. then i got so excited to go to a new section only to find that each island is 5 FREAKING DOLLARS. that’s absolutely ridiculous. if you buy the whole thing it’s thirty dollars. i don’t feel like paying that much money on a mobile game. it’s so stupid. don’t download if you think this is free, ITS NOT. you will be thoroughly disappointed once you beat the first island. i am really sad that i don’t get to play through the entire game because it seemed so fun and cute. i guess i was wrong.

  • Fix the bug quickly!

Don't you have a guilty conscience after spending so much money to sell me a game that often flashbacks? The experience is too bad. Fix the bug quickly. The size of the game display does not match the iPad screen. The experience is terrible.
