More expensive than Notion itself

I’m a student and Notion user who thought this app seemed like a useful idea… FOR A FREE APP. My jaw dropped when I saw I’d have to pay more for this simplistic micro app than I do for Notion itself. What a sham.

Thank you for your feedback. I've got to say it was a bit discouraging to read as a solo developer. All work done on this app (weeks of development) happens during my free time (evening and weekends). I do not get any funding for it, still most of the features are available for free. Users are not forced to subscribe to the Pro tier. The Pro tier exists to support the app and help me with the costs. You mentioned that this app is more expensive than using Notion as a student. Notion is free for students, should it mean that no Notion related products can have any paid tiers? Let me know if there's anything I can do to make the free tier more useful to you! v1.2 was just released with one more free feature (clickable URLs) :) Have a great day, Michał

Yes! I can keep using Notion for notes

Without this app, Notion took awhile to fire up and get to the page I wanted. Even with shortcuts Notion often brought me to my other workspaces and it required even more clicks, enough to make me very frustrated. I’m so happy I found this app, it does exactly what I needed, keep using Notion and take notes instantly.

Simplifies A Notion user's life

Awesome little app that does exactly what it says.

There are a couple of ideas that come to mind (like being able to select an additional field with default value set so that one could easier identify all notes taken from this app meaning that they need some further processing), but the app is already awesome as is!

Thanks a lot for kind words and your feedback. If you want to easily identify notes created from this app, you can add the special 'Created by' property to your database, it will be filled with 'Instant Notion' :)

You should definitely give this a try!

This work deserves more recognition. It’s very effective. Its very very good if you’re looking for quick capture whilst you’re about your day without the hassle of opening notion on your phone.

If I were to ask for an update would be to setup more than one link, it’s shouldn’t be too difficult for that feature. But besides that, it’s perfect.

Very Useful and Easy to Use! - a lot of potential

You can even change which database you want to add a note to as long as it has a multi-select property! I wish there was an option to have access to multiple databases and have them be in a list. That would be cool! But considering what this app already does, it's great

Very minimalist and easy to use. Very handy to writing very fast notes, like an idea or a journal entry.

A clever fix for one of Notion’s biggest flaws

Notion is a powerful and flexible tool that can be adapted for so many information types. But it has never been good for quick capture. It takes too long to load, find a database, create a new note, and apply tags. It’s a lot of friction when you just want to jot something down before you forget.

Instant Notion fills that gap beautifully. It is simple, clever, and instantaneous. It immediately has a place on my Home Screen.
