Addictive puzzle game

Last year I purchased this app after losing patience with wading through ads (after making a certain number of attempts.) So what you get for paying is a continued break after the certain number of tries , but instead of the ads, you get 5 more tries each time. It is certainly better than having to wait for the ads, but what is the point of that? It does not make the game more enjoyable, and frankly it’s just tedious and detracts from the peaceful joy of the puzzles. Please consider losing this aspect for those of us who have payed.
I love the little notes about each artist, and about the styles of art. Altogether it is a stunning /educational game. I appreciate that the developers have been very active at fixing bugs and improving the game. Happy holidays developers!🎄

Hugely enjoyable, but…

I am currently about half way through the 800 paintings and enjoying this a lot. However, there are one or two flaws which would improve it. I find the banality of the ‘notes’ which pop up on completion of each painting detracts from the value of the art. I couldn’t help laughing at this one , after Albrecht Durer’s Adam and Eve “King Charles III inherited this painting but ordered that it be destroyed because he deemed it obscene. A court painter saved it by hiding it away. My oh my!” That really does need attending to.

A flawed opportunity?

Initially this is a brilliant “art” app with interesting information about each puzzle you solve. So why not 5 stars? Simply because as you progress through the game the challenges become more and more difficult and it becomes (almost) impossible to achieve a picture with the limited number of moves available. So ultimately it becomes like so many other “free” games where you are forced to watch long and tedious unrelated adverts to give you a few more moves. Alternatively you can buy extra coins to complete your picture. Shame reality. It had the potential to be a great app

Both entertaining and educational

A nicely done app. Fun but also educational. Ads were only a minor distraction. Highly recommended.

Brilliant.

I’m absolutely loving this. I thought I’d give it a go after loving the jigsaw type element of another game. What I didn’t take into account is that studying the pieces also gives you a real appreciation of the finished piece of art. I’ve googled every artist and every piece of work, and as well as being a really enjoyable game, it’s also increasing my knowledge and appreciation of art.

Wonderful for making peace with yourself

A very exciting way to spend a few hours spent learning things about artists you didn’t know and also artists you didn’t know. Well done would recommend everyone pays a year’s subscription to avoid adds upsetting your concentration.

Bug fixing

It’s a great idea, and each painting is a pleasure, but there are many bugs that need fixing. I’ve found that the music suddenly stops playing, the screen can be juddery and every now and then it freezes. It’s a shame because it’s a lovely game to play

Truly challenging

I’m really enjoying putting the beautiful masterpieces together. It’s very addictive and I can’t resist the challenge. I’m learning about artists who are not so well known so it’s an education as well. Fantastic game.

Ads

Enjoyed this game until they added ads. I know people just want to make money but ads are all for fake games claiming they have no ads. I

Good free game

I’ve got used to games not being as advertised or overwhelmed with ads. This has ads of course, but not every level so not too irritating, and although puzzles start out far too easy they have enough challenge after a few sections. It’s not going to transform my life but it’s unusually good for something I don’t have to pay for.
