Best kite and wing tracking app available
I really love the stats this app has. Does a fantastic job logging jumps, transitions, time on foil and many other things other apps aren’t doing. Syncing to the phone is also seamless and 100% reliable so far. I wish they would add a social aspect so we could share with other riders in an easy way. Cheers!SnwbrdB

Easy to use!
Gives you a lot of valuable info and all you have to do it is turn it on. It even knows when you’re just setting up versus the start of kiting session.ElSuper

Couldn’t be easier; open app and touch the screen to start. Shows your gps tracks with top speed, average speed, max heart rate and a ton of other data. Imports seamlessly into the Health app. Check it out!Foil-fever

Hoolan is so far superior to other kiteboarding apps I used.
It’s data analysis is more inclusive than I have seen elsewhere but it’s the reliability that is most important. It hasn’t missed a session yet due to a software glitch. Very impressedJohnB-USA

Surprisingly Robust and Reliable
After having several frustrating experiences with Woo’s customer support, and unreliable session recording, I began looking around for another app to track my kite sessions.
I found about Hoolan from some of the kite forums I frequent, and decided to give it a try.
It’s honestly *really* nice! The UI is really intuitive, and reviewing sessions in Hoolan have been far more informative for my progression. I really appreciate the timeline view and events to show you exactly how things happened, and how that compared to the rest of your session.
Also, can I just say how nice it is to just hit record on your watch and ride? No fiddling with something on your board, and making sure they’re both on. It’s very liberating.
Things for them to improve: user “accounts”are pretty half-baked as they stand. If you use it mostly to look at your stats, it’s not too big of a deal.
There also aren’t any social features, which is not wholly a negative thing to be honest. But, I will say that it can be useful to see some of those spot stats, and see who is currently riding. If they can find the sweet spot of social discoverability, without all the extra ego booster “features”, I think this could really be a cool alternative to the bigger apps.
So far, I plan to continue tracking my sessions in Hoolan.Draw the moral
