Great App

Very underrated. Has been so helpful and far more useful than any other app I’ve used!

Such potential, but misses the key point for ADHD

This app should be a perfect fit for someone with executive function issues— it allows a person to create individual schedules with tasks broken down into steps, it gives the opportunity to create multiple reminders, and it has functionality that allows you to invite another person to support or manage your schedule. Unfortunately where it fails is pretty much on the most important point of reminders and checklists— the reminders pop up silently on your phone, with no audible sound or even a vibration. So unless you’re looking at your phone 24/7, you may as well have no checklist at all. Equally bad— it checks off the reminders automatically after the scheduled time has passed, not only removing the dopamine incentive that comes with checking something off your list, but also leaving people with short term memory issues unclear on whether they actually did or did not do a particular task. That said, this app has enormous potential, and I believe with some minor tweaks it could be the perfect partner for someone with ADHD. Selfishly, I hope the tweaks come sooner rather than later, because as another reviewer said, forgetting the cancel the trial just cost me (and my son, separately) $49 each for a year of something that is currently functionally useless to us both.

Response from developer

Seems as if you didn’t setup your schedule properly and didn’t reach out for any support before leaving us a bad review so it gives the wrong impression on our free neurodivergent support app. Every setting in the app has an information icon which explains every feature in detail. We will increase the informational button size. You didn’t need two subscription, Infact you didn’t need one at all to achieve your goals. Notifications won’t make a sound if you silence your phone. If you set an end time it will automatically complete which is normal behaviour in a calendar. You missed the “complete anytime” option when creating an activity Please reach out to our team via live chat or the contact form on the site 24/7 to resolve your issues.

It’s good but..

I like how it’s laid out, but some of the premium features should be free, especially the features like making checklists and colours. Its branded for neurodivergent people, and many people benefit from checklists and customisations to make the routine personalised.

Response from developer

There is lots of useful free features available but Unfortunately, we cannot give everything for free. No wages are taken here at Thruday, everything has been developed on the back of the Founder and there are hosting costs to pay. Our research-backed priority based color system is all someone needs.

Thruday Review

Autistic Female

Age:28

I have never felt compelled to write an app review before, but I am so overwhelmed by the life changing abilities of this app that I felt I had to write this.

I downloaded it over a week ago, thinking it would take me a few days to figure it out,as normally that’s how my brain worked.

However the layout is simple to use,yet complex enough to cover various mental demands that my executive dysfunction brain requires.

For example the checklist action and the custom repeat option is essential for my task productivity and structure.

Within 24hrs this app had changed my daily routine into one of productivity and calm,as I gently switched from task to task that was on my schedule with plenty of time for rest.

I’ve had the most amazing week, with more time for leisure and hobbies instead of endlessly trying to micro-organise my life in case of mental lapses.

It’s a neurodivergent friendly interface, with enough options but not so many that you can waste hours scampering round and tampering with it(some productivity apps have overwhelmed me With their set up and consumed my time in trying to navigate them).

Plus it’s affordable at £50.00 for the year.

As someone going back to education,it’s a game changer for managing my time effectively.

And I haven’t even mentioned the traffic light mood tracker!

Or the breathing excercise section.

Or the Neurodivergent article links.

Everything has been incredibly well mapped out and considered for the user.

I can add my mum who is my carer so
She can have an overview of my day and my mood, which is so helpful on days when my verbal output is limited.

Thankyou so much to the team behind this app.

You have changed my life for the better.

Keep up the fantastic work

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review of the app, it makes my day to read the impact it has on peoples lives and leaves me a little speechless - I personally love the mood tracker myself as I struggle with mood stabilisation due to epilepsy and it allows me to communicate without words in real time about how I am doing, its really handy for when I dont want to admit im not feeling great. Thruday is a result of lived experienced, hard work, it makes me happy to hear its working as intended. If you have any feature suggestions or ideas for the app, please do feel free to reach out to us at any time. Thank you again for the positive review.

Good app/ just not for me

I like the free trial to test it out but don’t forget to cancel it on time like I did. It’s pretty easy to set up and use. I like the articles and mood tracker. The schedule works great too. I’m just not able to afford a new subscription due to the fact that I am disabled and social security is not enough to live on so I have to pinch every penny.
I tried to stay on a schedule but I found that it wasn’t working for me and I started to ignore the reminders. I couldn’t find a way to snooze or mark it uncompleted either. I like to check things off my list to see my progress when I’m done.
Thanks for letting me try your app and I appreciate what you’re doing to help neurodivergent folks like me.
I’m just not ready to do without my pencil and sticky notes yet.

Response from developer

Thank you for trying the app out. We took your feedback on board and added some extra options to control which notifications go off from within the app and we also made it clearer to complete tasks early. Many thanks

Want to like this app

I use google calendar for work and an integration would be super helpful. Right now to get use out of this app I would need to reenter all of my calendar appointments and tasks and then add more that are specific to the app.

Response from developer

We don't feel its fair we are being rated 3 stars in this instance. We have the integration, the problem is Google taking months to approve sensitive access to data. This app is directed at parents, carers and their children, its not made for the workplace.

I wanted to love it but hard to set up

I have AuDHD and really really wanted to love this app. Unfortunately I just couldn’t get it to save anything and I grew very frustrated. Sorry!

Response from developer

The app is full of easy to follow explanations as to what each feature is and we also have 24/7 live chat and support where you could have reached out to us.

Sparse

Limited features unless you pay

Response from developer

We included everything you need to plan a day, build routines and even track moods including full access to over 3300 images for free. Our team appreciates your feedback but disagrees with your statement. All the best,

Fantastic

Thruday is a lifesaver, I use it to store all my finance incomings and outgoings, appointments, meetings and reminders. Fantastic for improving time management skills.

Response from developer

Thank you for using our ADHD & Autism Visual Schedule & Routine Builder Mrtrandrews.

Inappropriate icons

I had to delete this app straight away as a sober person… It suggests little icons to match whatever scheduling input I wrote… I put drink water and it showed a sign of a bar with a mug of beer?????? No.

Response from developer

Update: we have add 3000 new icons with a better search system in place until we better train our AI suggestion models to be more accurate. We are still training our custom AI models to suggest the correct icons. Although icons are auto suggested, you’re still able to override the suggestion and correct us. All corrections help us train our models better to avoid the executive decision making required to search and find icons yourself. For some, having to manually search images can be overwhelming which is why the system exists. Without your support and corrections, we won’t be able to train a system that is never wrong. It would be awesome if you can bare with us, correct the system and do your part in helping us build a better AI suggestion system. All the best, The Thruday Team
