Bad when it works, I guess worse when broken

lately I can’t even get my book, just the white screen of death. But even when it worked, there was no table of contents, search or anything. Hard to imagine a worse iPad app. No excuse since the desktop version is fine.

This should not be its own app

The PDF reader is so obnoxious. It constantly jumps forward and backward when I’m trying to scroll down. There’s no way to disable this behavior.

Edit: I wish I could lower the rating because now the app won’t even load the books I paid for anymore. Again, why does PUP not just email you an epub or PDF like any other ebook store?

Totally Garbage

Bought an ebook on this because of class requirements. I just bought the book 1 month ago, and I cannot open the book today to do my homework. I thought it’s internet issue or anything, so I tried everything to get it work, like restarting, use other WiFi, etc. Lastly, I tried redownloading the app, now when I login with my email, it said email address is not recognized. This app literally has only one job, one simple job, and it failed. Completely trash app.

This is a reader?

It's hard to believe that such an august institution could allow a company to produce such a crappy ereader. The best one can say is that the font is nice; but surely one cannot read using this ereader.

HORRIBLE APP

So many bugs in the app I don’t know where to start.
My main issue though is that the app doesn’t load pass chapter 2.3 of my textbook.

Not very good reading experience

There is a progress bar (illustrated in the sample screen shots) that *never* goes away but which obscures the bottom lines on the page, which requires changing the font size in order to see what’s at the bottom. A frustrating experience.

Scrolling is Poorly Designed and No Highlighting

The app does not let you choose between scrolling or tapping for page changes, as it uses both. This is a poor setup as it’s very easy to accidentally tap while scrolling and end up on the wrong page. There should be an option to use only one method, like every other reading app. Also, there’s no ability to highlight or save notes. This is a basic feature used in iBooks, Kindle, etc. it’s quite annoying not having that. I’d recommend buying from Amazon and reading on Kindle instead.
