They kept showing me ads for this app and when I finally gave in and downloaded it, it can’t be used within Canada.
Has potential but needs a lot of work
We need a better way to filter out the Asian fetishizers. There are some who are clearly there only to get dates and get with an Asian person. I joined to hopefully connect with other Asians and to get in touch with my roots, so it’s very frustrating as an Asian person to see the app being misused in this way. Then there are some people who are clearly not Asian put down some Asian country being their roots in the profile. It really grinds my gears. For people saying the app is racist or discriminatory, it’s not though. The app clearly states Yuzu-For the Asian Community, and should be respected as such. Yet you get all these other people joining. It just defeats the whole purpose of Asian community and it feels like just another app for everyone, and you don’t get that feeling of community. We can‘t have nice things after all. I think the idea of this app is a great concept, but in this day and age, it‘s probably not possible to make it exclusive without running into legal issues.

Use to be good, now I just get dono walled…
When I first signed up for this app, it was completely free which means you matched with anybody and everybody as long as they liked you. I would like to say I’m a pretty average guy, but I matched with a lot of very pretty girls when I first started who were actually Asian. Now that match has to take their cut, I never match with anyone yet I have a pile of likes all the time, and the girls I do match with are never Asian. I refuse to give any money to the company to runs this app because their shady practices, on top of that, I just don’t believe in paying for a dating app when I have much better luck going out to hotpot by myself and meeting girls that way. 2/5 for the community tho.

Paid version doesn’t allow you to match
So people who “Waved at You” (swiped right) are hidden and you have to pay to see who swiped on you just like Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, etc.
Well, paying doesn’t allow you to match with certain people, which means those accounts are bots or people who deleted their account. The thing is those accounts NEVER disappear from the “Waved at You” section even if you try to match or remove them, so the number of people who actually swiped on you is inflated. This is VERY MISLEADING and PREDATORY on part of the app because it’s all hidden behind a paywall.
I wanted to see how the paid version fares against the free version. It’s basically a scam since this is the case. Steer clear from the app and definitely don’t pay for it.

Poor app, non-existent customer support
My account was locked immediately after creation for no reason. I have sent more than 5 messages to customer support via their email, website, social media. They don’t respond even though it’s been over a month of sending these messages. Poor service, poor app experience. Don’t bother.
Just Okay
Like many others the filters are iffy and it feels very much like a dating app rather than friendship and community. It was difficult to match with friends and even when using the dating feature there was a huge paywall that barely got you to speak with people. I liked the concept but the App’s UI isn’t very pleasing and clearly the matches were not that great. The community channels felt like Discord but less room to connect. Deleted after a day sadly.

Ridiculously buggy
This app literally freezes every 2 minutes. I couldn’t even finish creating my profile before it froze and I had to restart the app. It did it several more times and kept erroring when I tried to start the matching saying there was no one in my area. The app is also confusing to use because I couldn’t figure out how to see people’s profiles/info, just their photos. How am I supposed to meet people with the same interests as me if I don’t know anything about them besides how they look? I couldn’t figure out how to do this without the app freezing another two times while trying to do so. I had this app downloaded for like a total of 10 minutes before I got frustrated and just deleted it.
