We booked a last minute trip to Washington which meant all the campsites were booked up. So I used Campflare and had my fingers crossed we could snag some campsites. One week using this app and we booked all the campsites we needed!! Thanks Campflare!!!
Got a campsite
Such a great app. Got notified as soon as some campsites were available. Have to be really quick on hands or you miss it especially when the deman is soaring high. Good that the notifications come promptly and was able to finally reserve a campsite at Yosemite this long weekend. Great app!

I just signed up a week back and already was able to snag a spot at falllen leaf lake in Tahoe region. You have to be ready to jump on and book as soon as you get notification but if you can it pays off, and it’s free!

Doesn’t seem to find NPS campsites as well as I can on my own.
I like the UI, the overall design, ease of use and the philosophy for their approach to this problem of campsite availability caused by greed and by how bad recreation.gov is as a way to reserve campsites. I followed the advice and set up a series of requests for one day at a time to maximize my chances over several days in which I was interested. Did this for several campgrounds. However, as a backstop I had my web browser open with several tabs, each one for a campground we wanted and a range of interesting dates. Each time I thought of it, I refreshed the available campsite list in my various bowser tabs, hoping to find something open. So far I’ve been able, on my own, to find and grab three nights of camping on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in June. We’re only changing our campsite once to do that. I’m very sad to say this app never alerted me to the two openings I found by refreshing that list in my browser. Sad, because I’d love to be able to use this app instead. I suspect the app’s polling interval is too low to be useful, but of course I can’t be certain when I’m just looking at the results (e.g. for whatever reason, I beat the bots and got campsites on my own).
