  • Mangle those beats!

Like so many Audio Damage apps, sounds great, easy to dive in to but deep as heck, and just a lot of fun.
  • A+

    Awesome
  • Outstanding rhythmic mangler

This is an incredibly fun, intuitive, and deep rhythmic mangler. It can turn a simple sine tone into an evolving rhythmic part, and add variety and tension to repetitive drum parts. The combination of the main repeater effect with the randomizable step effects (delay, bit crush, etc) is simple but deep.

Two very small wishes: (1) I’d love to have more control over the clock (eg the ability to clock replicant to fractions or multiples of the project clock; the ability to clock replicant instances independently of the project clock). This would unlock many more uses and workflows for this powerful effect. (2) I’d also love for the manual mode buttons to be larger and more touch friendly. Consider making the manual buttons much larger - eg replace the waveform visualisation - on the iPad version. Alternatively, consider assigning fixed MIDI note messages to the manual buttons, so that the effect can be triggered with MIDI notes out of the box without mapping — e.g. one per white key starting on middle c. (In practice speeding up the workflow makes a big difference for me since I mostly use iOS for live jamming.)

Thank you for this truly inspiring effect.
