Take the time

I am always grateful for the time I’ve spent in this app each day. When I’m done, I’ve always found something positive to bring into my day: gratefulness, compassion, affirmation of myself, encouragement for hard days. I wish I had found this app earlier.

Overpriced and not helpful

This app is full of recommendations to do things I already do and overly esoteric readings and poems. I was intrigued that it was developed by a behavioral economist, but was very disappointed in the execution. I signed up through the web instead of through Apple which was a huge mistake because it was difficult to track down how to cancel and even I missed the cancellation window by a day they refused to refund the $120 I was charged for all the various trials they gave me when I signed up.

Awful response and seems like a scam

Their apps suck you in claiming to be helpful but it seems like they are praying on people who need help, just to get money.

They claim to be helping people who have experienced trauma, loss, violence or those who are neurodivergent. They make the apps look pretty and inviting but lack any substance and they make it overwhelming and hard to find information. I was charged twice for apps that claim to help but I couldn’t cancel any subscriptions before the free trial ends. Then when I raised the issue asking for a refund, it was “granted” but then they took out another payment. So now I am over $170 in app payments for things I don’t use, for subscriptions I apparently don’t have but yet my bank account says otherwise. Despite sending numerous messages since last week (10+ messages), I have yet to have anyone contact me to settle this matter but instead have received 2 automated messages. Not good enough. It feels like you are exploiting people who are reaching out for help for your own financial gain.

Detailed app

You can have an app on your phone, but if you don’t use it, it’s useless. The notifications for this one make me use it and it’s very effective.

Great addition to the Fabulous app

I was leery of trying this because of its expensive nature. However, they give us a seven day free trial and then a 30 day free trial. I thought it would just be another repetition of the fabulous daily habit tracker app. However, it is very helpful and a great addition! I found out things about myself. I never knew. It’s definitely helping me heal inside and become more resilient. Don’t hesitate and put off living your best life. Try this now. It’s life changing and extremely helpful. Though some quotes and occasional messages mirror that of the Fabulous app, it is definitely geared towards healing emotional pain and I am so glad I found it . I only wish it were cheaper and offered a monthly subscription.

Beware of cancellation terms and conditions

I subscribed to the app with a 14 day free trial. I cancelled on the last day of the trial. Fabulous (owner of the app) are attempting to take a payment of £34.99 for a further 3 months’ as per their apparent terms and conditions.

In their initial invoice it states:

On September 9, 2024 when your trial period expires, your payment method will be charged £34.99 for your Quarterly subscription to Lumiere Premium.

Lumiere will charge your payment method £34.99 (inclusive of tax) every 3 months thereafter so you don't lose access to your account. Tax charged at renewal is subject to change based on applicable tax rates. Your subscription will continue to auto-renew every 3 months thereafter unless you cancel before the last day of your then-current subscription period

It does not state that 24 hours’ notice has to be given to cancel the subscription during the trial period. It can also be argued that the notice period is also not relevant for the first 3 months either, just the following periods thereafter. They are repeatedly attempting to take payment. These terms and conditions are ambiguous to say the least.

Help me a lot

I really love this app, I’ve tried a lot of different methods for CBT and it never worked before but with this app it works! Doing things at my own pace without doing it like a typical therapy is a lot better for me. The only bad side, (this is a personal opinion) it’s really expensive and not very accessible for people with low incomes. I live in Quebec and work with vulnerable communities. Our health system, mainly the mental health services are overwhelmed and a lot of people don’t have access to any help. They have to wait a couple of years before they can see someone. I think This app could help them a lot getting through this wait if it could be more affordable.
