Price History of Ditto Patterns

Description of Ditto Patterns

Ditto is the first-ever digital pattern projection system for home sewists. Ditto combines digital projection with algorithmic intelligence to make patterns paperless, customizable and adaptable to any body measurements in real time. The system compresses hours into minutes and marks the first evolution in patterns in 160 years. Ditto is the future of sewing, enabling the freedom of expression, the freedom of fit and the joy of clothes reflecting who you are. Ditto gets to the fun part faster. Ditto is an ecosystem that includes: • The website where you customize and purchase your pattern • The hardware, including the projector and cutting mat • The app that connects with and sends your pattern to the projector How Ditto works: 1. Customize your pattern on the dittopatterns.com website. Your selected style with your measurements updated instantly. 2. Launch the Ditto app and calibrate with the Ditto mat 3. Project and cut your pattern Ditto comes with hundreds of customizable, original patterns that can be modified in thousands of ways to create truly individualized garments. Ditto’s expansive library of customizable patterns creates countless possibilities. Changing a neckline or sleeve, or flaring out a skirt or pant leg are just a few examples of what is possible in a few clicks within dittopatterns.com. As changes are made, the technical illustration will reflect the choices in real time, allowing the sewist to approve the design or keep editing until each garment is exactly what they envision.

  • Landscape only?

I just got the Ditto. I use this for bag making and garments. The app is terrible, not user friendly, and the pattern instructions are seriously lacking. Who make a phone app that only works in landscape mode?!? I like using my phone, not an iPad, not my Mac. My phone! For something so expensive, you would think they would develop the app for mobile UI/UX. And the patterns instructions are not designed for mobile either. It’s not a great experience for such a niche concept. I highly recommend you get a product design team to help you improve user experience. I should be able to purchase and upload patterns and stitch them in the app, not have to go to a third party. It’s a lack planning.
  • Connecting to WiFi

The projector will not connect to WiFi causing me not to be able to use it. I’m sorry I even bought it and now it’s a waste of money and space
  • Ok, would have kept the money

I know you can bring your own patterns in beta form, but it is not very user friendly, you have to download or pay for a third party app to fix the pdf file so you can upload. Also, the ditto brand patterns don’t have a neckband on any of the patterns. You are expected to turn under the neckline and stitch down.
