Life changing app!

I had always seen ads for 222 on instagram and otherwise and figured it couldn’t be as good as they make it out to be… but since joining the app i have met such incredible friends and new people, while trying out new restaurants and activities i otherwise wouldn’t have tried. I love the fact that the app isn’t subscription based and you can put a range of how much you’re willing to spend. The app truly helps you make new connections and experiences while pushing you outside your comfort zone. My summer has been so much more fun since i joined! I may move to NYC in the future and i’ll absolutely be using 222 along the way to discover new places and people. Highly recommend!

Signs you up automatically

This app was great until it started signing me up for things on its own and telling me I’d get charged if I didn’t cancel within two hours.

Fun to meet people, quality starting to decline, and they got too pushy with joining events

I met a lot of really cool people through the app. After sometime, the quality of the experience started to decline. At last, I didn’t appreciate that they would automatically sign me for events and even wanted to charge me for events that I didn’t accept.

best app in london for socialising or finding fun activities

I must admit I was skeptical at first, especially as I already had a friend group in London. I joined because I was interested in meeting people outside of my sector and trying new activities I might not have thought about otherwise. I have been so pleasantly surprised. I have been to a few now and the last few months the experiences just keep getting better and better - loved the hijingo and reformer ones! Sometimes the London host is there too and she’s so friendly and inclusive, it’s really clear that the team care about everyone having a great time. Would recommend.

Miscommunication and Safety Issue

There was a lot of miscommunication on the app and no immediate action from 222 to resolve it. This was my very first 222 experience, and after two weeks of looking forward to the event, I was sent to the wrong address. I then had to drive to a second location, only to find out the event was canceled because no one else showed up.

Overall, the experience felt poorly organized and let down both the host business and the people who genuinely made the effort to attend.

My biggest concern, however, is safety. The first address led us to what appeared to be a private residence with a yoga studio. There was no one there to greet us or confirm we were in the right place, which left us feeling vulnerable. In the worst-case scenario, we could have been mistaken for trespassers simply because we followed the address provided by the app.

Damn good way to find your people

Really, maybe you night not vibe with some on some days, but if you go to enough of the experiences, its great to find friends and actually enjoy and have fun

Experience

This is absolutely the best app for you are trying to meet new people or really anything related to socializing.

So much fun

Great way to meet new friends. 10/10 app UX.

Worst

Don’t waste your time

Good app

Super fun app. Perfect for meeting new people, probably my favourite app I’ve ever downloaded.

Challenging on how we typically meet people! Going out of our comfort zone!

It lets us see other perspectives, stories and biases within our limited time in this earth. Great app!

Bad Service

I’ve cancelled multiple times now, and they still keep charging my credit card monthly.

Defied expectations

Had a great time with my group we were the best group

Great for locals and newbies alike

222 is a great experience, and a very well polished app and operation. I went to my first event last night, and was matched with five strangers according to our interests. Personally, I didn’t match super well with them but it was still a fun time at dinner, and they were great people! 222 usually sets up a second location, and when we went to that second location, I mingled with more people from other 222 groups and met a lot of really cool people that I otherwise would not have without the app. The monthly fee is pretty reasonable (22.22$), depending on what activities you sign up for you might have to pay more and as far as I’m aware, you will have to always pay for your own food and drink.
Very worthwhile to discover the city and meet new people, highly recommend for both locals and people new to the area alike!

Fab way to make friends in a new city!

One of the best social apps for meeting new people - very thoughtfully designed. I really like the depth and detail of the survey. I’ve made friends. My bff met someone she is now dating! It’s great! So much variety in events too. It’s all over North American cities (including Canada) so I’d absolutely try it in other cities!

Opposite Effect

I went to one event, and it was lovely. Met wonderful people and was motivated to attend other events. However, I’ve since signed up for three events (and blocked my calendar for them) only to be informed the day before that I’ve not “been selected.” I don’t have space on my calendar to hold space for “maybe” events, and have declined invites from friends because I was reserving time for a 222 event. Until this group can confirm more than a day out, I’m out.

It’s a dating app with a twist

I like this app cause it arranges activities and food and drink most times. I’ve been rock climbing, axe throwing, kayaking..
went to restaurants I’ve never been too and every now and then you need someone interesting.
The meeting people part is hit and miss, I think it’s kid of a dating app but not.
But mostly it is. But you can pretend it’s not and just do the activities and have fun.

Awful

222 is not good. They send you to ridiculously expensive places and then the location where all the groups meet up is super far away. We had to walk a mile for one of ours and another group had to take a ferry.

Then there’s a matter of “compatibility.” I haven’t had even the slightest amount of compatibility with any of my groups. The algorithm completely ignores the questionnaire. I put sports as my main thing and it hasn’t given me a single athlete or sports fan. It also doesn’t take your age into consideration at all it seems because I get people that are 5 years older than me.

This app and model are truly flawed and you will regret subscribing to a membership if you do. The only plus to this service is it makes for some pretty funny stories.

This App Is Discriminatory

I was really excited about this app and initially felt it was inclusive and respectful of everyone. However, my experience has made me question that.

Over the next 2 weeks, I could see only 2 events, while my other 222 friends were seeing events almost every day. When I raised this, I was told that the events shown are based on whether they are considered a good fit for me. But the events in question are standard activities such as dinners, drinks, paint nights, and sauna sessions, events I have attended or been shown previously.

It does not make sense that I would suddenly no longer be considered a fit for these same types of events. The experience feels unfair and, frankly, discriminatory.

dynamic pricing is unethical

I find the dynamic pricing (charging me 22.22 a month, while charging those I referred 32.22 a month) very unethical and I disagree with this practice as it isn’t outlined in any materials when I refer people. I have enjoyed the people I have met HOWEVER they also don’t do a good job remembering to give you referral bonuses. So, use it to meet people but be wary of being taken advantage of by dynamic pricing.
