Great Experience

Great experience great people!

Experiences are Great, If they let you into them

222 Experiences are great when you get to go to them, but that is not often. I went to my first experience and it was great, since then I have not been accepted to a single experience. There was once that I was waitlisted and then only after someone else canceled did i get accepted to the experience. BUT even since that it has been four straight experiences where I get "waitlisted".

Worst part is that they send you experiences weeks in advance to sign up for. But once you sign up you don't hear anything until 4:22pm the day before. HOWEVER here is the catch if you cancel after 4:22 pm they charge you a fine. So you have to block off your calendar and say no to other plans just to be told 24 hours ahead of time that you are actually free. It's a complete one sided scam.

Waste of money

Paid to get repeatedly waitlisted, only to be told at the last minute that they had run out of spots. The app sent me to exactly one event all summer, and when I checked the profiles of the people there, our supposed compatibility scores were just 18%, 25%, 27%, etc.

I paid for essentially nothing. Awful experience. Do not download this scam.

Horrible setup

Trying to create an account was absolute horrid. Why do I need to invite 5 people?! Give the option to skip visible, so I’m not being force to invite people! If I could give this app negative stars I would

Actually works!

I was extremely skeptical of this but decided to give it a try. Met new people and made a lot of new friends and helped me get out of the corporate mindset and reminded that there’s more to life than working.

Unacceptable

I signed up to try to meet new people and while the app is asking me questions to build my profile, a mandatory step is to “invite” current friends to join the app which allegedly helps the app to “understand” my current friends. This is borderline trickery to build your app. Just another disappointing attempt at using people who want to make new friends to build the user base of your app. Will uninstall.

They’re not having a good ratio of decline to acceptance rating.

I keep signing up to 222 events they have, but every time I go to sign up, they decline me. There was one time they did it to me three times in a row. I like doing them, but if I’m going to take the time off from work, and get declined more times in a row, then why am I signing up for events?

SCAM!!

Do NOT get this app, they charge $22 for membership, steal your info, won’t let you cancel membership, and charge ANOTHER $22 for cancelation. SCAM!!! be warned

Welcome to AI

I rarely review anything but in this case it’s a must! It’s true the curations are repetitive, expensive & the ppl/locations are corporate-like. What surprised me, no one mentioned that you NEVER connect to a human. It’s all AI driven. They will pretend they are “100% human”, the operative word choice. They are not. Not being able to connect with your guest = a long term disaster in the making. I would have cont’ on, if actual humans were answering questions. I asked what is your name, generic replies popped up. This company is “text obsessed”. The APP is beyond confusing and not user friendly. Curating events for ppl to meet/connect from a company that doesn’t connect. 😳

AI MADAME?

No thanks, this app violates human rights & sets you up with toxic people. It promotes UNSAFE behavior & rewards addiction

Good App - Waitlisting Problem

By all means 222 is a great app if you’re trying to get out, meet new people and make fun memories. But THREE times now I have not been able to attend any events even when I was early on the waitlist. The app will take $32.22 (CAD) from you, put you on a waitlist for an event and then a day before the event they will let you know if you got in, for one event I was put on the waitlist a whole 3 weeks before the event and STILL didn’t get in? Ever since I got the app months ago I’ve only attended ONE event and was waitlisted and didn’t make the cut for THREE. I would easily give this app 5 stars if I was able to attend more events.

Still in beta TBH

Overall a great experience. Some kinks need to be worked out like changing people’s assigned locations last minute. That seems like an amateur thing that should have been worked out before shipping final version. Sucks to have plans in place for travel and things shift last minute. The people and the hangs are good, it’s a small enough community that if you’re goal is to find some longer term friendships that is possible

Outstanding

Professional

Useless

You’ll be constantly waitlisted and will not get picked for events.

Imagine paying for an app just to waste your evening that you specifically set aside for 222, just for them to say”you were not selected” what a duuuuuumb dumb dumb setup .
Oh and they’ll spam you with those invitations they won’t select you for 😂

It's like “here is your invite, please please sign up”. And then “you are not selected”.

The best

This app was curated so meticulously and the algorithm is extremely plausible. I’ve met so many amazing people through this app and I hope nothing changes.

Go for it

Met some absolutely great people here and great experiences

Deceptive!!

I strongly caution anyone considering using the 222 app because of what I found to be extremely deceptive practices.

The app forces you to invite 5–6 people from your contacts before you can proceed, and it does not allow duplicate invites. What makes this especially concerning is that the app then sends those people invitations for events that you never actually agreed to or planned.

As the user, these events are presented to you more like suggestions or ideas for potential “dates.” However, the person you invite receives what appears to be an actual curated invitation and itinerary for an event that you, the supposed inviter, may know absolutely nothing about. The language used in the invitation is also misleading because it makes it seem as though you personally curated or selected the experience for your friend, when that is not what happened.

It gets worse when the person you invited is then asked to pay $22.22 as a “curation” fee for this supposed experience. So from their perspective, it looks like you intentionally invited them to an event, helped curate the plans, and are now expecting them to pay a fee to participate—when in reality, you may not even know what event they were invited to.

There is a major difference between asking users to invite friends to join an app and using someone’s name to send what appears to be a personalized event invitation without making it completely clear to the user what is being sent on their behalf. The entire process felt incredibly misleading and deceptive, both to me as the user and to the people receiving the invitations.

Users should be clearly shown exactly what will be sent to their contacts, what event is being proposed, and that the recipient will be asked to pay $22.22 BEFORE the invitation is sent. I would not have knowingly agreed to send invitations like this to my friends.

Frustrating

I paid a subscription fee before I was locked out of the app until I invited 5 people. Super embarrassing. They need to add location to the description because I’m just requesting invite after invite just to see the location is an hour away from me on a week night. I spent over a month trying to give this a chance but it’s just too much hassle.

23m, found super cool folk

First event was great, off of the others experiences. I’d say most of the time you can expect a good time if not a weirdly timed event.

Waited forever

After two months application still in process. If they’re going to reject at least tell me why.
