7.25

August 31, 2023

1) The 7.24 update would crash after creating a new background or card back using the camera or from the photo album. 2) Removed "Card Rotations" and "Card Shadows" from the Settings screen that appears when you press the cog wheel during game play. 3) New backgrounds - Aged Wood, Kittens, Puppies and Dolphins. Bug Fixes in 7.24 1) Game Center stopped working when updating iOS because a "What's New in Game Center" screen would briefly appear and then disappear behind the user interface preventing the "Continue" button from being pressed. 2) On iOS 16, if you paused the game and changed your device orientation then the screen would mess up. 3) If you replayed a game with scoring turned off and then won the game and then chose to play another game, the same cards would be dealt again. 4) Some of the help message boxes were lingering around during Training.

Reviews of Solitaire City (Ad Free)

  • Collects no data!!?!

Wow, it is so great to have an app that does not collect my data! No geolocation tracking, no analytics, no social engineering. This high quality solitaire game is well worth the $5 and so is the sake of privacy. The game is very customizable including game modes, rules, display settings, styling, etc. It would be cool to see more developers return to providing high quality paid software and in turn not having to process and manufacture people digitally in order to pay for these “free” apps that we crave.
  • Was Fantastic … But

Solitaire City has been my go to game for years across at least four iPhones. Worked awesome until yesterday. No other phone issues and plenty of free space on the phone. It stopped allowing me move anything stack with over three cards. Then it wiped out years and years of scored (not happy about that). Moving on, will now find another to replace this once good game. Was the best Solitaire for an iPhone, now need to look for the current best. Super disappointed
  • My ministry-played game

This is one of my absolute favorite games. I’ve had it for years, and I’ve played an embarrassingly high number of games. The reason is this: it’s fun. I’ve always loved solitaire, since I was a kid. I like this app because there are so many versions of the game, and variations of most of those. The choices are great. Most don’t take too long to play, so this is the game I play when I’m waiting for anything. I’m fidgety. This is perfect for that. I need to be doing something, perfect for that, too. I enjoy improving my win percentage. And I just like it! Thank you for making it a nearly perfect game. I really do appreciate it and I highly recommend it.
